Unfortunately, these breeches are very tight in the calf. The sock-like legs were so snug they were a trial to get on. The waist fit true to size and they look like good quality, but if you have wide calves--rethink these. There's a reason why hook and loop closures have been the norm for 30+ years, they are the most adjustable and easiest to put on and pull off. Sorry, Smartpak, these just didn't work for me.

These pants are comfortable to wear and are not too warm. My only issue with these pants is that the fabric balls up after washing.

I love these breeches! They are stylish and super comfy. They have slight pilling in one spot after washing which is why i didnt give them 5 stars. I wear them to school at least 4 horses a day, and for the price so far they are well worth it. After wearing them once i ordered another pair. I am 5'4" and the end of the breeches comes right to my ankle bone which is long, but not a problem. Other reviewers had mentioned a problem with the waist being big, but i think they reworked the fit because i didnt have that problem at all.

I love all things Smartpak and I really wanted to love these breeches. My first impression was that the material felt a little odd/slick/thin since I am used to the material for the TS Trophy Hunter. Those are slick too but the SP breeches were even SLICKer. The faux suede was very thin compared with the faux suede on the Trophy's. But I figured I would give them a try. The fit was very odd though. I am slightly tall and medium build. In the TS Trophy I wear a 28 and they fit textbook perfect and are flattering. These...were saggy in the butt. As in extra material to the point where it actually hung down like a diaper. Which I have never had happen before b/c I think I have a normal to slightly bubble butt for my size from riding daily. The calves were SKIN tight and I have only a 13.5" calf and have to by xtra narrow tall boots or custom boots. So they did fit me but were a little hard to get on. The thigh fit was ok and the waist was a bit gappy. Sadly they were a definite return. Hope the fit issues get addressed or that at least there is a body type out there that finds these the cats meow because it wasn't me. I guess I will stick with TS or Pikeur.

The material is just a little thicker/heavier than I generally like, so I won't be riding in these in the 100+ degree summers, but they are nicely styled, fit pretty well, and I like the material on the full seat a lot. My one concern was with the stretchy "sock bottoms" since I tried the Baker Elite Full Seats and the similar bottom on those gave me horrible horrible rubs all over my legs. However these breeches are longer than the Bakers and the calf is slim enough that the breeches don't seem to shift under my boots. Overall a nice pair of full seats!

These breeches did not fit at all, although I ordered my regular size. They looked terrible on me. I really couldn't rate the quality, value or durability, so I put medium ratings on those.
I returned the breeches, which was a very easy, friendly process. Thank you SmartPak for honoring your return policy.

I found out about these breeches through a friend, and was excited to get a pair myself. I love the fabric! I ordered the size 30 (my usual size), but while they fit in the legs and thighs, the waist was huge. I returned them, and exchanged them for a 28, which were too small overall. I guess I am a 29, if that's a size that was offered! I think these breeches may not be a good fit for people who have my type of shape, fuller in the hip and thighs and smaller in the waist. Sadly returning the size 28.

I liked the fabric and the price. I agree that the seat is a little slippery for a full seat breech. I am generally a size 2, so I ordered the 26. I found that the fasteners at the waist were very uncomfortable and dig into my stomach. If I order the next larger size, it'll be too big. Would like to see more colors as well.

While I liked these breeches right away when I got them, I do have issues. I generally wear a 30 without a problem and these were long. I can't really "love" the sock top thingy when it is bunching around my ankles. I wear half chaps all the time and some how the velcro from my half chaps must have touched the pant legs because they are now fuzzy. Either that, or it occurred in the washing machine. I wash all of my riding clothes on delicate, so I don't know how/why that would have happened. I had to get a belt because of the waist band gapping #no big deal# but apparently my behind is not large enough for a 30" waist because it gets baggy quickly, unfortunately. I really don't think there is much worse than a saggy full seat butt :# that is the worst part for me. I wear them to school. I would love to wear them at clinics, but they don't fit well enough. But, they were inexpensive and I LOVE the fabric that they are made from. Therefore, while I like these breeches, I have issues.

After reading the reviews I tried these on at the store and bought them on sale. I'm quite curvy, a bit short (5'4") but with long legs and generally wear and 8 in bottoms. I found that these fit me nicely in a 30. The waist is a bit big but nothing a belt can't handle. I have both a tan and a navy pair in the same size and they do NOT fit the same. The navy has tighter legs and a looser waist.
I really like the thickness of the breeches and the fabric. I've worn them when it's really hot and in 50-degree weather. They've worked great for both, much better than cotton breeches I've tried. No wet, soggy waistband, which I really dislike. I love the sock bottoms and the fact that they are machine wash AND dry. Love that!!
The seat is a less grippy than I'd like but it is stretchier than others I've tried, which I do like. I gave these a 3 star quality rating due to the seat and the fact that the zipper broke on the navy pair I had. I am getting a replacement pair from Smartpak, though, as those things happen. Despite the zipper thing, I would buy these again.

Nice product for non-curvey women

I did not have an opportunity to ride in the breeches because they did not fit me. I have a size 28 waist, but I have a curvey bottom and thick legs, so the size 28 was too small. Size 30 fit the rest of my body, but the waist was way too big for me, and they were also long on my short legs. I really wished they had fit because they looked like a quality product and I also liked that it had pockets.

The fabric was very nice, they just didn't quite fit my proportions. The size I chose (28) was too long in the legs, the legs seemed tight, while the waist seemed very baggy. I am admittedly hard to fit though, with extra-short legs. They were very nicely made otherwise, and I wish they had worked.

I loved the first pair I got that I ordered another pair right away. Now if we could get them in more colors (fun colors) all would be GREAT! Anther good thing is that they dry fast after washing or sweating to death in this MD humidity.

I REALLY wanted to like these breeches because they are very well priced and look nice. However I had to send them back because the fit was just not doing it for me. I tried the 36 regular but I need a long. They fit size-wise except for being too short in the waist, but when I turned around it looked like I was wearing a dirty diaper they were so baggy in the butt. Hopefully they will get the bugs in the fit worked out because the material/look of them is very nice.
