"I bought these, because I was looking for more of a riding sneaker, which these are. I found that these shoes are very comfortable and make it easy to walk around in the field comfortably when trying to catch your horse. The shoes are also very durably made and think, but fit in the styrups nicely when riding. The only con about this shoe is that they do not fit tightly enough around the ankle to provide support while riding. The shoe fits snugly everywhere else."

"I really like these, they are very comfortable to wear around the barn and fine to ride in. They are true to length but I think they run wide. Once they are tucked into half chaps though they feel fine.
Pros: Very lightweight, waterproof, don't get over heated, feel like sneakers.
Cons: get very dusty, are wide on top so some half chaps have trouble zipping over them.

I ordered the Volant XT half chaps to go with these shoes ... and guess what? They wouldn't zip up over the tops of the shoes. My other ariat chaps worked tho, so I sent the volant chaps back. And I thought they were supposed to be a system. Go figure."

"I have used these boots for about four months now and love them. The ankles are a little wide but that absolutely does not bother me. I am a short person with my mother's big calves so most paddock boots come up too high on my leg and are uncomfortable at the very least and in the worst cases, I cannot zip them up. These boots work fine for me. I got them a half size larger than my street shoes to allow for thick socks and swelling feet (in the summer) but that probably wasn't necessary as they are a wee bit large. They are also comfortable to walk around in after my ride."

"The Volant XT Paddock Boot is stylish looks great with my chaps and or jeans. I got the taupe color. They run true to size but are low and loose around the ankle so some may not like that they do not provide ankle support. They are very comfortable to wear all day, this must be where the price comes in. They are basically a more stylish version of the Terrain boot, at more than double the price. I don't believe they are worth the large price tag. I have only had them a month so hard to say if they will hold up. I will not be retuning them because I really do like the way they look and they are comfortable, I just wish Ariat would be a little more realistic with their pricing!"

"These are very durable and nice to wear in the summer. After 6 years or so, I finally broke down and bought my new slightly re-designed pair of these boots. I had the all terrain style and hope the new pair hold up as long as my old pair did. I also find they don't overheat my feet when it is very hot out. I would say that is good value for the money:)"

"This is a great boot. Lightweight, airy (great for the warm months), easy-on, easy off and finally Very comfortable. I have a lot of foot problems so I'm real particular about the boots I wear. I wear them all day long and my feet and legs get great support. Sizing ran a bit small for me as I always wear an 8 1/2 in Ariat boots but I had to go to a size 9 in these. I've worn nothing but Ariat for 15 years and have loved every boot I bought. (The absolute best Ariat paddock boot for me was from several years ago - similar to this. It zipped in the front and had even better ventilation and was even more comfortable & half the price. I wish I could replace them w/the same but alas they discontinued that great boot. The Volant is the best replacement they have now.) The Volant is a great boot and I'm going to buy a 2nd pair just for good old casual wear."
