I had high hopes for the DeNiro Ride & Fly Paddock Boots. The quality of the leather and the workmanship of the boots is excellent, unfortunately the fit is a big problem. I returned them the next day. I wear a size 7. My foot is average width with an average arch. The size 7 DeNiro was extremely narrow although the foot length was perfect. The arch of the boot is so extreme that I had to pull up the zippers with pliers. I had them on for only a few minutes and they were very uncomfortable. They are made for a narrow foot with no arch.

These boots just arrived yesterday and they're going back today. I am consistently a 36.5 in European sizes so when I saw another customer say they run a little small I ordered these in a 37. They're so small over the top of my foot and around my ankle I can barely zip them. I have a moderately high arch but my foot and ankle are both 'normal' sized. My concern is that if I go to a size 38 that they'll be way too long.
I'm really disappointed in the sizing because these boots are nice! The style looked a little odd online but they're very cool 'in person.' They seem to be of very good quality and the light sole feels great walking around the living room (sorry, mine are going back so I can't tell you how they feel at the barn).

I can't wear Ariat paddock boots b/c they are too narrow for my foot, although my foot doesn't measure wide. So I bought the DeNiro paddock boots. I ordered the same size as my Danskos and they fit like a glove; I might have ordered one size up if I had tried them on. The foot bed is very well padded; in fact, my plantar fascitis has improved from wearing my paddock boots (go figure that one). They are still a touch narrow but I think they will stretch. Will see how long they survive in the Texas summer heat and washing horses every day.
