When I purchased these boots I was worried that the leather was so nice that it wouldn't hold up to heavy use. I was wrong! I have used these boots for 2 years on a near daily basis. I have taken them on trail, gotten them muddy and put them away dirty. Despite all the abuse they clean up and look amazing. A damp rag does the trick or if you really want to make them look nice leather cleaner works great! I have the large size on my 17 hand warmblood. My only complaint is that when my horse is really crazy while turned out the top of the hind boots slips under the elastic. I think if the strap was placed a little lower on the boot it would solve the problem. However, they still stay on and do the job. I would highly recommend them.

The leather on these boots are so soft and beautiful right out of the box. The color is very rich. The velcro strip that the straps attach to is heavy duty and overall I think these boots will last for a really long time. I have a 16hh Thoroughbred and ordered the size medium for her. They fit perfectly (as well as the ankle version of these boots). I definitely wouldn't want any smaller than the medium or they wouldn't have fit, but I think even the large would have fit her fairly well too (maybe just a tad big). If your horse is any bigger than 16hh or even if they are 16hh but is a warmblood with thicker legs, I would go with the size large. These boots are prettier than I expected and will look great in the show ring. Very happy with them.

The leather is super soft and nice. Has some air flow with venting (which is why I opted for these over the tekna boots). Great for horse showing. My horse is a 16.2hh big boned TB and these seem to be a little big but the M would be too small. He wears a m/l in the front of equifit boots. All in all, these are my new favorite boots!!
