I love my Bates Innova saddle. My last saddle was a Wintec Isabell and it was a great saddle for a while. But I have really long legs and my knees used to move over the knee blocks on it. So I decide ti was time for a new saddle, I test rode the Bates Innova and after my first ride I love it. I love the external knee blocks they hold my legs in the correct postion with out feeling to restrictive. My horse moves so much better under this saddle. This is the best saddle ever!

I'm very pleased with my new Bates Innova. I have tried many saddles, including very expensive ones, on my high-withered, slope-backed, Appendix Gelding. His problem has always been a reluctance to move forward-it would take a long time for him to warm up at all. With this new saddle, the first time I tried it he didn't go forward much more, but he raised his back immediately-what a plus! The next several tries have been progressively better-he is learning to trust that he won't feel pressure and discomfort.
It is great that I feel very comfortable with it, and it fits my other horse too. We are all very pleased with this saddle-my instructor says it positions me very well and that both horses look relaxed.
I'd recommend this saddle for those with fitting problems, since the tree width can be altered, and further, better fitting can be obtained with added shims. It is also comfortable for the rider-it is soft and grippy with no pressures in the seat bone or crotch areas. So glad I tried this fair-priced saddle.
