This is a very nice riding vest. I am above average in height (5'9") and the fit is quite a bit longer than pictured; fits me somewhat above mid-thigh. This was a pleasant surprise. Though the material is 'furry', it is not a horse hair magnet - another pleasant surprise. I've only worn it a few times, and it hasn't been washed yet, but it seems to be quite durable. I did order a size up (XL instead of L), and that was a good choice. The zippered pockets are another plus. The only disappointment is the too-small pocket opening; bit of a struggle getting my hand in. I do hope SmartPak will re-stock because I'd really like to have the Carbon color. Love the other copper/bronze color.

This is very soft and comfortable to wear. I only tried it on to make sure it fit, haven't ridden in it yet.
