"Let me just start by saying that I. Love. This. Coat! I was eyeing it up for a while, and finally ordered it. I really like both of the plaid colors that are available--I would like to note that the Sterling Plaid color is a very pretty charcoal gray; I thought that the photo made it look as though it had a blue-ish tint to it, but this is not the case. The shell of the coat feels like it is very durable and will hold up well over time. I like that the zipper is heavy duty, and just LOVE the magnetic closures that are hidden inside the jacket & close over the zipper...one of the best features! This is definitely designed to be worn for longer periods outside; the height of the collar is great, and when the coat is zipped up, I don't even need a scarf because the fleece lining inside the collar keeps my neck warm. I like that the hood can stay zipped inside the collar, or be pulled out--and it is designed so that when you actually want to wear the hood, it stays UP and you don't have to keep pulling it up after it falls down. As far as the sizing, it is a little generously sized, which is great for layering. I will add that I have this in a size M, but I take a size S in Kerrits shirts. There are two snaps on either side of the waist that you can use to adjust for a little more "tailored" look. The sleeves are the perfect length for me...though I am 5'9" and have longer arms, so the sleeve length may be too long for some. The snaps at the end of the sleeves are nice to adjust down the size of the opening. Honestly, I just love this coat so much that I ordered it in the Saddle Plaid as well. The Kerrits logo of the horse shoe & carrot on the sleeve adds a nice touch as well--I even worn this out to go to the store & to lunch today. I layered a fleece underneath and was not cold at all, and it was in the low-to-mid 20s and pretty windy today. The only thing that I will say that is this coat is NOT made in the USA as it says in the product description...the tags on the coat say made in China. I have to say that I was disappointed, because this was one of the things that really attracted me to the coat in the first place...I do like that Kerrits has a lot of 'Made in the USA' items, but this is not one of them. I still love the coat though, and I HIGHLY recommend it!"
"I really love this jacket but it is not perfect. One flaw is the noise. But to be fair, all jackets similar to this one are just as noisy but my horse really dislikes jacket noises. I was hoping this one would be different.
There are two snaps on the sleeve so you can tighten the sleeve around your wrist. Unfortunately, neither really get it tight enough so no air will blow through.
When you tighten the waist, the back of the jacket bunches in not a flattering way. I wish there was a way to pleat the back when tightening the waist.
Finally, I would really have liked to see zippers under the arms so I could vent it when I get too hot."
"The saddle plaid is very pretty to wear with black breeches. Fit is true to size. I had to shorten the sleeves, but I am only 5'2" so that is normal for me. You will really like this jacket."

"I have been looking for a new jacket to replace a Kerrits jacket that is at least 10 years old. I love this jacket's style. It is very fashion forward and fits well. I must say that I am 5'10" and have long arms so on a smaller person it may run large. The only reason I did not give this jacket 5 stars is because I would have loved it to include zippered vents like my old jacket. Otherwise it has all the features I want. I hope it lasts as long as my old jacket!"
