"I got this jacket in a medium, and it is HUGE. However, it is high quality, well made, and super super warm. The fur collar is very cute, and the length of the jacket looks nice in the saddle."

"I was wearing a Carhartts coat to do my barn chores, and never wore that coat to ride in, because it was too utilitarian. Then I saw this coat--one I'd admired--and I thought that it would make a better barn coat, one I could ride in as well. I got it on sale at a GREAT price and began to wear it as I cleaned stalls. It's wonderfully warm, it seems to reflect dirt and hair, and it's very stylish. I have to clean stalls right before a lesson, and I used to worry about wearing my "lesson" clothes as I mucked, but now I can wear a barn coat and still look good for my lesson. As another rider remarked, my instructor told me that she liked my coat, too."

"Beautiful coat but disappointing fit. It is just too bulky to be flattering. Even the drawstring doesnt improve the fit. However the color is gorgeous and the coat is very warm. Although it feels bulky to me it is not hindering to ride in or work around the barn in. It is also attractive enough to wear to work or out in town."

"Warm but not bulky. Lots of great features like zipper vents under arms. I really like that horse hair, mud, and dirt are just repelled off. I ordered a small and I'm 5'5 about 125. It's not constricting so if you are petite the xs may even work well for you. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's not as flattering as I hoped it would be in the waist even with draw string."

"I bought this jacket in small, and it fits me perfectly (normally I wear a size 6 in jackets). My trainer actually called me stylish when I wore it for a lesson. It is a great length, warm, waterproof, and practical. I love the warm faux fur lining around the collar. The perfect winter riding jacket!"

"This jacket is durable, warm, stylish and well made. It was supposed to be my new barn jacket to help keep me warm during the cold Wisconsin winters. Unfortunately this jacket will never see the barn as I wear it to my job at a bank everyday. The size XL fits me like a glove."

"I really like this coat! I thought that it looked nice, and just couldn't pass it up at the sale price. It definitely seems to run true to size, or maybe slightly large. I usually take a size Small to a Medium, and the Small fit me perfectly & had a nice tailored look. I imagine that the Medium would have fit me ok, but would not have looked quite as fitted--there is still enough room for me to layer a little underneath. I'm 5'9", and the sleeves are long enough for me, and the coat falls a little below my hips. I love the look of the fabric! It looks like a "tweed" fabrice, but it is waterproof! A couple of my favorite features are the fitted wrist cuffs inside the sleeves, to keep the cold air out, as well as the faux fur lining on the inside of the collar to keep your neck nice & warm. I rated the Value of the coat with 4 stars, as I feel that the full price of this item is a bit high, but it is definitely an excellent deal at the sale price! I would recommend this coat!"

"This is a terrific winter riding jacket. I am 5'7" and weigh around 145lbs. I ordered the jacket in size small, and it is perfect for me (normally I size up to a medium in winter coats, but it wasn't necessary in this brand/style). The length of the jacket is great for riding or barn work, and it is stylish, warm, and comfortable (especially love the faux fur lining at the collar, which comes up to the cheekbone). This is not a bulky jacket, so it feels nice for riding. Highly recommend."

"I have wanted this jacket since it was first listed in the Fall. I finally decided to purchase it when it went on sale and I was not disspointed. Love the details on it and the fact you can remove the hood/faux fur lining. I did not buy this as a barn jacket but instead a jacket to wear into work when it is really cold. I have gotten a lot of compliments on how nice it looked and people thought it really was a dressier coat. My only complaint is that the zippers dont seem to be very heavy duty for a jacket that was orginially over $200 but since I m not wearing it to the barn I dont think it will be a problem for me. I will say that I think it runs truer to size than an eariler review - it is fitted in style so if thats your style, go down a size, if not then stay with your normal size."

"Well, I admit to being a total barn fashionista. I like to dress well even if I am just going in to turnout, groom and leave! I needed a warm winter coat with some style and this went on sale and I couldn't resist. This coat runs a slight bit big, but the small would have been a bit too tight for riding with a sweater and vest under it so I kept the medium. The only thing I didn't care for was the hood so I took it off. It is so shallow that even though it fits over your helmet, it sits half way back and doesn't even cover the helmet completely, which is a complete design flaw and looks ridiculous to boot. The parka is very warm and thick and it has been in the 30s and low 20s here in the Pacific NW, and I have been nice and toasty, and I get cold easily. The fabric is a beautiful grey with a faint herringbone pattern that is unusual and classy. There is a bit of shape to it too, which is flattering. I like that is is a simple design without big obvious labels, just a small metal tag at the upper back neck that you wouldn't see unless like me, you zip off the hood. There is a cozy grey faux fur neck lining and tons of pocket room. I don't understand the other reviewer mentioning a quilted lining as it is not really quilted at all, just lined with insulating fill. Great coat that I would recommend highly."

"This is an amazing jacket - the quilted lining makes it warm but not bulky. Runs large - I had to go down a size. Long enough in the arms for taller riders (I'm 5'9" with long arms/wide shoulders). Fabric feels a bit stiff at first, but isn't noisy or scratchy. Hay and shavings fall right off and it repels rain and dirt. I like that the faux fur collar is detachable, which makes it wearable as a 3-season jacket up here in the rainy PNW. My horses enjoy the many pockets, in which treats can often be found."
