"I bought this jacket because I was tired of looking like a shapeless lump sitting on my horse bundled up in my oilcloth winter riding jacket. This jacket gives me a nice shape even when I am wearing lots of sweaters under it. In my horse/dog sport, I am usually in the saddle 6-8 hours a day in all kinds of weather. And usually this spring, that included 20-30 mph wind. This jacket keeps me warm in the 40-50 degree weather range and stops the wind completely. I bought the XL because the L was a little binding in the armpits. I knew that I needed room to layer clothes underneath. I can wear three "dress weight" wool sweaters or two sweaters and a vest under it. And in the pitch black pre-dawn cold mornings when I am tacking up my horses for the day, I can layer it all under my winter barn jacket. I have washed it twice and had no issues with color change or shrinkage. I have had one shoulder seam needing to be mended on the inside. Best of all, at the end of the day, when I need to be social, it still looks good and crisp to wear to dinner (even if i don't)!"

"This jacket is very light weight and has a flattering fit. Good for riding in 45-55 degree weather. I have had lots of compliments. I take a medium or large generally and the large fit very well."

"I really liked this jacket but found it too short for me. For a jacket, I would want it to at least cover at least half of my butt so when I sat in the saddle, it would have room to ride up and still provide plenty of coverage. The jacket is a few inches longer in the back than front but it still didn't seem to be enough. I am 5'10" so it may be the perfect length on someone shorter. Other than that, it seemed to be a great jacket. It was not bulky and I liked that the sides were a lighter, stretchy fabric, making the jacket more figure flattering and cooler in the places that need it. The pockets were zippered and roomy and strategically hidden. I am a 36C/33/38 and a medium was a bit snug with a base layer and a fleece jacket."

"This jacket is lightweight, flattering and stylish. The one thing I did not like - or actually was not sure about - was that down each side, there is a panel of light grey stretchy material. I didn't notice that in the picture before purchasing and was a bit worried that it would get dirty and "pill." It is a bit pricy for what it is, but it's a nice, little coat for layering or alone."
