I was so excited to get this brush because i had searched long and hard for a real horse hair brush at a reasonable price. I brushed my horse literally 3 strokes and a clump of bristles fell out! I brushed a little longer and maybe 5 minutes later another clump fell out. I called smart pak, who's amazing customer service had me refunded in less than 2 minutes. For what it's worth, i didn't toss the brush in the trash and have continued using it. In over a month no more bristles fell out and it is still functional. It's possible that these are usually nice brushes and i just got a defective one.
