"As other reviewers mentioned, the leather is soft and ready to be used fresh out of the package. My 4-year-old Appaloosa gelding immediately responded to the gentle pressure of these reins and he has improved every time I've used them. He is willing to get into a proper and rounded frame. The reins are comfortable in my hands and they are of a good length for me to use. "Ace" is 15.2 hands and has a long neck so I appreciated the length of the reins, especially since I did not buy the split version."

"I purchased these reins for my 4-year-old gelding who is somewhat resistant to maintaining a round frame. When asked with the reins he IMMEDIATELY responded to the reins and willingly held a round frame reaching downward. WHAT A DIFFERENCE these reins have made in his training. These reins were exactly as others indicated in their reviews."
