Gold as Sun
Gold as Sun is a coat conditioner specifically created to bring out rich golden/bronzen highlights and shiny coats on Palominos, Duns, Buckskins and Chestnuts. Gold as Sun is made with oils, spices, herbs and seaweeds.

"I have used this product on both my Appaloosa fillies. My 2 yr old has a nice bronz to her coat now. My palomino yearling is a rich gold now. I noticed the difference about 3 months of use. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for bright, shiny color on your horse."

"My three year old palomino fades out every fall and turns creme when her winter coat starts to come in. We had two shows left and her golden glow was quickly fading away. We decided to try out gold as sun and within two weeks her hair was golden again. She looked amazing and won grand reserve in her show. The judge even commented on how beautiful her coat was. I can't wait to see what her spring coat looks like!"

"I wanted to see which was better for my Palomino App and tried Smart shine first and he was a rich dark shinny color, then I tried the Gold as Sun. He lost some of his shine, but he still kept his dark color. Even being outside 24/7. I think I will stick with Smart Shine."

"In April, I bought my very first horse. He was a rescue ( sort of) and when I got him, he was an ugly grayish yellow. My riding instructor told me he would be Palimino and suggested that we put him on Gold as Sun. Chai is now a stunning Palimino that turns heads. We saw the difference after only a week of being on it. We are going to keep him on it to maintain his color. This product could not be any better. I totally recommend it!!!"

"The "Black as Knight" didn't work for my bay mare, but we'll see if this product works for my Palomino 2 year old. I'm willing to give it a try. She needs as many vitamins as she can get right now, and the other stuff in this will be good for her. I haven't seen any change yet, but I just started her on it and am on my first set of 28 Smartpaks, so we'll see."

"I can't express how much this stuff really works. I have a chestnut appy filly. I started her on this in Dec. By Feb she was so shiney and slick. I don't need coat dressing or even need to wash her just hose off the sweat. WOW. Going to start my cremello stallion on it next."

"I am going to rate this product as excellent because I am pleased with all the suppliments I feed my Champagne Racking Horse Mare. I really haven't noticed a difference yet, but I think I will start noticing soon. She has only been on the suppliment for 3 weeks so I think it is too soon. "My palomino barrel horse was just not shedding quickly this spring and was very pale colored and fuzzy. "I have had my new MFT on Gold As Sun for about a month now and he looks wonderful! He came to me after having been on pasture for a year. He is almost finished blowing that winter coat and his new coat is coming in shiny, smooth, and beautifully golden! Nugget must love the taste also because he licks the bottom of his feeder clean! "I just put my horse on this product, he was on SmartOmega3 for the past year, and I wasn't seeing the deep golden coat I was striving for.
So, im giving this product a try for this season, I started him on it right before he started shedding. So we shall see how well his summer coat comes out (if summer ever comes). My horse doesn't even notice it in his grain, just eats it up fine without a fuss.
I've read many reviews on this product, both on SmartPak and other horse fourms, and I've heard good and bad things. But, only time will tell!"

"Bought this for my chestnut baby chincoteauge pony, she had to get switched off baby feed to plain 10% sweet feed when she was 5 months old and was looking for a supplement to help round out her feed. This has made her mane and tail grow like crazy, and its a nice rich gold color, her coat looks the same, but she has still got all her baby/winter fuzz so lets see how she sheds out. She gobbles it up. I plan on switching her to Red-D-Vinity as soon as I finish this tub, but I think it would be super for palominos."

"My first experience with color enhancing supplements was when I got my black mare. When she came to me, she was on Black as Knight and a multivitamin. I'd known her for years and knew she normally bleached out terribly, but that summer she didn't. I kept her and my palomino gelding on the remaining BAK and plain paprika the rest of the summer - with a multivitamin. Both looked great.
The next year, I was trying to breed the mare, so she stayed on a multivitamin, but the gelding was getting enough grain that I thought he'd be ok. Both were on paprika again. She stayed black, he faded out.
The mare has continued to be on a multivitamin to make up for the minimal amount of feed she gets. The gelding's vitamins I let slide thinking his feed would be sufficient, but put him on Gold as Sun in January. She's beautiful black and his coat bleached out and got horribly scraggly. Within weeks of adding a vitamin to his feed, his coat came back to life and got a bit of gold back despite the Texas heat and sun.
So if you're dead set on using GAS or BAK, add a multivitamin for the full effect - or just use the vitamins."

"It works well. I used it last year right before the celebration for about 2weeks. It worked fast and great! This year I used it earlier in the year seems like it didn't work on my horse as well but I can tell a difference. I was told when you go off of the Gold As Sun you should go on another coat supplement. I might try that. It works so I am interested in trying the Black as Night!"
