"I put my 19 year old gelding on this to help with apparent immune system issues. Along with his NOMS and Bug Check, this seems to be doing the trick. He licks the bucket clean and has no problem with palatability. I don't use the 2 ounces of corn oil suggested in the literature but may try that to see if it makes a difference."

"Like everyone, I want top notch nutrition for my performance horse, but have a budget I must stay within. This product is one of the great values in my feed room as it is one of the lowest priced multi-ingredient antioxidants, yet has the nutrient package she needs. On the other hand, it doesn't contain iron, so I'm NOT paying for what she doesn't need. Love that! Of course, the best supplement in the world is worthless if she refuses to eat it, so I was relieved that she consumes it without a problem. She tends to be a picky eater and when I opened the box of smart paks and could already smell the odor of this supplement from its unopened well, I was highly concerned that she would refuse it. However, she finished her entire ration. The fact that she gets 2 oz. of a rice bran/flaxseed/corn oil product to bind her supplements to her grain probably enhances palatability as well. I like knowing that she is getting the best so that she can give her best."

"I have tried this product with 3 different horses; my pickiest eater wouldn't eat it. The others readily ate it when I acclimated them to it by slowly adding it as a top dress on their grain. My warmblood is a probable EPSM case, have had him on it for a few years. One unexpected super bonus is his previous weak hooves are now holding shoes, and thicker walled. My farrier and I are thrilled. Nothing else had changed in his diet other than this product, and the timeline to seeing improvement fit hoof development. My second horse developed anhydrosis as a 3 year old. I she had previously had no problems. I tried a few other things, then decided to start her on antioxidants. By the next hot season she began sweating again. Just a coinscidence? I don't know, but I am happy and not going to take her off of it!"

"My horse used to get a bad case of scurf on his lower limbs, sometimes to the point of scabbing and bleeding, total mess. This happened mostly in the spring (wet grass) or from horse shows (yucky wash areas). Read that zinc deficiency was responsible, so did some research and then tried this, it works miraculously well. Keep him on it all year (1 scoop am and pm), but double the dose if any signs of scurf appear."

Good product-unexpected benefit! December 19, 2006

"My farrier asked me a while back what I was doing different with my horse because his once shelly, brittle feet had made a remarkable turn around. The only change in his diet was the addition of Antioxidant Concentrate to his daily ration a few months previously. I had put him on it for different reasons, but now for his hoof health alone he will remain on it!"

Palatability September 26, 2005

"I had read the reviews on this product and wanted to make sure that Rocco wouldn't waste it by not eating it or his grain. The first time I added it to his grain, I added approx. 3 TBSP of molasses and that took care of it. He loved it! I have since decreased the amount of molasses down to almost nothing and he cleans his plate. He had a beautiful coat to begin with, but lately people have been asking me what supplements he is on. With the list if ingredients in this product, I feel it is critical that it is incorporated into any horse’s nutrition program."

Palatability September 8, 2005

"I caution people on the palatability issue. The product essentially looks and smells like yeast. Of the two horses I have tried it on, my 2 year old filly with an injury (the high-strung, fussy princess of the barn) turns up her nose at it and will grudgingly eat it if it's mixed with enough sweet feed, but the 26 year old mare that gets it to boost her old bones just gobbles it up without missing a beat and would probably eat it straight out of my hand. So, my take is that they will love it or hate it."

What a difference June 7, 2005

"My gelding started to show that he was an old man this winter. He didn't shed out right and he just wasn't the same. I figured I'd give Antioxidant Concentrate a try and I was amazed at the turn around. I just threw it in with his sweet feed and with in the first 2 weeks he started shedding out; by the end of the month he was shiny and putting on weight. Now he's on grass and he only gets a couple of handfuls of grain AM and PM with this supplement and he's doing great."

"I have tried 2 horses on this supplement based on the recommendation in the 'Horse Journal' and 'Perfect Horse'. It may be a great supplement, but neither horse will eat. Not even after following the manufacturer's instructions of adding some corn oil and starting with reduced amounts. One of the horses is a picky eater, but the other one has never given me any trouble with any other supplement. Just something to keep in mind when looking at this supplement."
