"I live in an area with sandy/loamy soil. I have always worried about sand colic but now that my mare is getting older, I am especially careful. I find this product effective and my mare laps it up in her daily feed with other supplements."

"My horse ended up with sand colic after being on stall rest with a sand paddock. Unfortunately, I had no prior history with a horse colicing, let alone sand colic and how easy it is to prevent by feeding a Psyllium product. SandClear worked wonders. I could see the sand in her manure! I'd recommend buying pellets over granules. I would not say its 100% picky eater approved; my horses weren't thrilled, but did eat it! If you keep your horse in a sandy area, please save yourself the heartache and use SandClear regularly. Give it a try! (SmartPak is great about returns if your horse doesn't turn out to be a fan of SandClear)
-My Vet left a tube of Banamine for me to give my horse, which really helped control my horse's pain level while passing the sand.

"As I live in a sandy area, Sand Clear is always a good idea and I have used it for several years. This is the first time I tried the pellet purge packs. The 7-day purge pack is very easy to use, super convenient. However, my old gelding who is a picky eater when it comes to supplements. He still picked the sand clear pellets out of his food and would not eat them."

"I was encouraged by my vet to do a one week Sand Purge treatment, along with a month or so of ProBios, to treat mild but chronic diarrhea he had been suffering from for about a month in the hot and humid weather.
This product was gobbled right up by my horse, easy to serve of course and it was awesome to find just the needed dose through wonderful Smartpaks, as I didn't need a huge container."

"I lost a mae to colic on 1 Mar 2010. I swore I would do everything possible to prevent that from happening to any of my other horses. We live in SW Georgia and are fighting drought. We have nothing but sand in our pastures. Giving my horses SandClear gives me peace of mind that my horses are getting a product that rids their gut of the sand they might be injesting. I would highly recommend this produc."

"I thought I had ordered a tub of sand clear to treat my horses several times. However I received small packets which was enough for one horse for one week, and was exorbitantly expensive considering its limited use. Ordinarily I am very happy with Smart Pak. I am sure I simply looked at the picture and at the price quoted, assumed it was a large tub. You know what assume means."

"As per our vet, we have been using sand clear for 10 years. Our dry lot is sandy. The pasture soil is loamy soil. So far I have never had an issue. Our horses spill out their hay form the feeders onto the sand in the dry lot. It took 2 months for one horse to eat the sand clear, now no issues."

"I have a 23 year old appendix QH gelding that is moderately picky and he really did not want to eat Sand Clear.
Even the pony (who is a PIG), didn't finish it. I'll try mixing it more thoroughly in their pellet ration next time and see if that makes a difference. They will usually eat whatever I put in front of them as long as it's in pelleted form."

"I always use this sure saves on vet bills. My horses love to pick their excess food up off the ground and by feeding this it makes sure that the sand they pick up clears the sand away. Ever since my first encounter with sand colic in Arizona 18 years ago I've used it every month and haven't seen the vet for this since."
