"This product was invaluable for my lab mix dog as she aged. She was on it for years without any ill-effects. I currently have a 6 year old mixed breed dog starting to develop arthritis in his hips and he uses it as well. I can definitely see a difference when he misses a dose! We're also treating him with acupuncture and that's been beneficial as well."

"Rimadyl works wonderfully for many dogs for arthritis pain and pain from other issues. *BUT* be certain to do all the follow-up bloodwork with your veterinarian to make sure your dog is tolerating it OK (some dogs do develop liver issues from it). I've used it on a number of my oldies and never had a problem, but be aware that some dogs do, and you will need to plan on the extra expense of having your vet's office draw blood and run some tests."

"My 11 year old German Shepard/Husky takes this medication everyday to control her pain. She has beginning hip problems and a large mass on her spine. She shows absolutely no signs of pain! Before Rimadyl, she had trouble standing up after laying down for long periods and sometimes had a slight limp. Not anymore!"
