"I gave this to my 2 mares and gelding as a Christmas treat. They became googly-eyed drooling fools as soon as they smelled it!! As soon as I fed it to them, they dove in and didn't lift their heads until every.single.crumb was gone.

"The best part of the Candy Cane Bran Mash - after the taste - is the ease of use! Just add water to the bag of mash, let soak, knead a bit and pour in the horse's feed tub. The horses start nickering while it is still soaking!"

"This bran mash is my horse's absolute favorite treat. I have set it on my tack trunk in front of his stall to soak for a few minutes before I give it to him and he sticks his nose through the bars on the stall and drools all over my tack trunk, nickering, until I throw it in his bucket. Then he licks his bucket until the last drop is gone. This mash is a little pricey for a treat, but my horse enjoys it so much that I will definitely continue to buy it. The entertainment value of watching him beg for it and eat is worth it!"

"This bran mash smells amazing! The big chunks of peppermint are a nice touch. I bought the bucket and have been feeding it once a week after gallop sets. My horse normally has a grumpy old man attitude, but he looks like a little kid on Christmas morning when I give him his mash.
I altered the ratio of bran to water. The instructions on the bucket say 5 cups bran to 3 cups water. That seemed way too dry to me. I soaked it using a 1:1 ratio and then topped it off with another cup or two of warm water right before feeding it. It's a great way to get extra water in him in cold weather."

"My picky eater LOVES this bran mash. It smells so good...almost like apple crisp. The chunks of peppermint really add to this warm treat. "I purchased my first bucket of the Candy Cane bran mash a few years ago. It was a Christmas splurge for my horse. I ration it by adding 1 cup of mash to about 3 cups of feed and I mix it all together with warm water. It smells heavenly! If I could bake it into some goody meant for people, I would. Every horse I have fed it to DEVOURS it and then "licks the paint off the bucket" to get every last morsel. Beware of any mash lovers in your barn....they will mug you for it! I give it 3 stars for value because it is quite spendy for something that you could mix up in your own kitchen. But the convenience is worth it and it is great for an ever-so-often treat, especially in winter with warm water."
