"I use these frequently on my horse for injury or hard work. The sizing is very small. I got a large and they barely fit around his front legs. He is a dutch warmblood, but is fine boned, especially compared to a lot of horses these days. I can't imagine what size someone with a BIG warmblood would have to get! Also, I ordered a pair, but the velcro faces the same direction on each. Therefore, if you put one on each front leg, one of the boots' velcro faces the wrong way. While probably not a serious issue with ice boots, it concerns me that there could be tension on the tendon."

"your reitsport ice boot is well made and it fit my rather small quarter horse. However the ice pack while nicely designed didnt last 40 minutes on a 45 degree day in Michigan. In july, forget about it.The directions call for 24 hr refreeze which leaves you with nothing to put on a horse.I ended up using two "blue ice packs abou 3 x 6 inches vertically stacked in your boot.i drape them on small guage orage juice cans in the freezer and they take the shape of a cannon bone.My feed store owner gave me a dozen of them for free.Bottom line:For the price of the boot your ice pack melts too quick and only giving one when three is what it would take is not enough bang for the buck! This wont get me into your $25 drawing but if helps a horse out there then maybe this was worth my time ."

"My horse recently injured his leg. It needed to be cold hosed or iced frequently. After a few days of standing for 20 minutes to cold hose a couple of times I ordered this ice boot. I am so glad I did! It works perfectly and there's no slipping. I highly recommend this boot for an injury or just for regular icing after a workout."

"This product is easy to use and very convenient. My TB does not like to stand still for cold hosing and I dont always have the time to stand and cold hose. This boot you can put on the leg and keep working. It is an excellent purchase!"

"Things I like about this boot - It's easy to take care of, easy to fit to any horse, stays in place, does its job well. What I don't like is the ice pack that came with it. The way it's designed it doesn't really sit against the horse's leg very well. I ended up folding the ends in and turning it sideways for a better fit. Some crushed ice packs, like the ones that come with Ice Horse boots, would work much better. But aside from the ice packs, I really like the way this boot fits on my horse, much better than most ice boots. I feel comfortable leaving it on her for half an hour while she's in her stall or grazing in the yard and don't worry it will slip down or come off."

"These are the best ice boots I've tried. The reusable inserts are compartmentalized so the cooling effect is even. With other boots, as the ice melts, I would wind up with water at the top and a lump of ice at the bottom. These allow for even cooling and stay cold for a long time. I throw them in a cooler bag when I leave for the barn and they are still frozen hours later when I need to ice. The inserts are also very easy to get into the boot. Even though the boots didn't seem like much when they arrived, they are really wonderful. They fit both of my horses (16.2 and 14.3, both with good bone) just fine."

"Overall good quality ice boots if you don't want to mess with the hassle of wrapping around an ice pack that slides when it melts. The ice cells in these boots fix that problem, that with the velcro makes Retisport awesome and convenient."

"The cold packs froze within the time period described in the product description. The cold packs were awkward to insert into the tendon wrap. They would be better if they were more pliable to better wrap around the cannon bone area. The botton velcro strap is much too short and barely reaches around the fetlock area to safely secure to the receiving side of the velcro. This is an ongoing problem with procucts that wrap around the lower leg. The sizing was a little awkward also. I think it could have been better designed in its shaping to conform to the shape of the horses leg."

"My horse recently had a injury to his front leg and has to be iced daily. This ice boot is really great and time saving. The ice cell pack can be reused and stays cold for a long time. The only thing is if you have a big horse like a warmblood the Velcro straps can be a little too short. Otherwise great product!"

Fantastic...Highly recommend! February 28, 2006

"These are the best cold therapy boots I've ever found. I was a bit skeptical because there isn't much to them, but they sit snug against the horse’s legs and the distribution of cold is so even. I'm ordering the hock and bell boots next. I love the results and they're so much better than traditional ice boots with one big ice lump on either side of the horse’s legs that inevitably slides down as it melts. The best part is...you can replace the cells at a very low cost, which is rare in the horse world! Great product!"

An ice boot that keeps the gel in place! July 25, 2005

"These ice boots have the best gel packs! The gel packs are divided into lots and lots of little cells so the gel doesn't slid down as it warms up. I hate those boots where it is one big gel pack and the gel stuff ends up all at the bottom."
