Customer Reviews for Quiessence

Quiessence

Quiessence is a Magnesium and?Chromium supplement that may help reduce the risk of laminitis in horses that are overweight and cresty-necked. Additionally, because Magnesium is important to nerve and muscle function, Quiessence may help horses?that are tense, spooky and inattentive to attain a more balanced mental state. Quiessence may also help those horses with signs of tight, sore muscles to be more comfortable and relaxed.

so far so good

I have only used about 1 1/2 containers of Quiessence I am hoping my horse will chill out alittle more because when he spooks its hard to calm him. Also he has a crusty neck topical of a Clydesdale quarter horse mix I am told. I will write more reviews after I use Quiessence a couple more months. Thank you Martie

I have a TB/TW mare who tends to be very tense and ADD! When she's on Quiessence, it's easier to get and hold her attention, and she's more willing to relax. I did notice that the effects wore off slightly after the first month or so, so I upped her dose a bit and she's been doing great for several months now! I like that this is a daily treatment, as I've also noticed fewer cuts/scrapes from her being an idiot in the pasture. It doesn't make her dopey and her personality is the same - she will still look at the dumpster that's been sitting there for two years but she doesn't freak out! She even naps on the crossties sometimes!

I have a rescue mini that was fat, he had laminitis and founder issues. After much research and trying other products I started him on quiessence. The product, along with food management and regular hoof trimming has worked. He eats it up, and over several months has lost 150 lbs. This product has a higher dosage than others, also fairly reasonable cost. My mini lost a whole mini ! The vet was astounded, took pictures to share with other vets. I'm now going to start my Arab on this, he is an easy keeper, kinda overweight also, so worth a try ~~~

I have my sweet mare back! "Hope" is a big TWH with a cresty neck and is a very easy keeper. Over the past couple of years I have been dealing with her sour attitude, pinning her ears, swishing her tail and being very difficult to handle. My vet suggested I try Quiessence to help with her attitude. After only three weeks I saw a huge change. I am just thrilled with the results and will keep her on this product for the rest of her life.

I've been using Quiessence on my gelding for 2 years and recently started my daughter's pony on it. Since they are both easy keepers on 24-hour pasture turnout, it's necessary to keep them on a supplement that helps prevent laminitis. Quiessence seems to be doing the trick.

I have a Friesian x Standarbred/Paint that was pretty hot after recovering from a tendon injury. I started him on this product about a month ago. I think it's helping him out...and the small amount of work he's back to now helps too.

I decided to try this after the Smartcalm didn't work for my horse as it came highly recommended by several people. It had no effect on my horse at all and I used it for two months. Disappointed it didn't help at all.

I gave Quiessence to my horse years ago and had no problem with him eating it. This year I tried it again, but my horse stopped eating it and would not touch his grain with Quiessence on it.

This supplement was recommended by our vet for two of our thoroughbreds for two different reasons. One is hot and highly reactive, the other one very sensitive, nervous, and worried. It has helped both horses tremendously. Very pleased!

I've had such good luck with Quiessence with both of my horses. My mare is a lower level eventer but lives her life on the edge (of her nerves that is!) stall weaving, fence walking, etc. I fed this for years and it did so well for her, including making her less cold-backed than she had been previously. I stopped it for a few months because I was at a new barn and thought she wouldn't need it anymore, but the spooking in the indoor arena and fence walking came back. She is now back to happy again.

And have had good results. My current horse will not eat this. In fact, he won't eat any of his food with this product added to it. I was hopeful it would help take the edge off of him in new situations but I have no idea if it would help or not as I can't get it in him to find out.

I tried various ways to calm my high strung guy, especially during the New England winters. Northing seemed to work.
A friend recommended this product and I have noticed a difference.
He's less spooky and more relaxed.
Good buy and I like the product.

My 11 year old Appendix QH used to be on SmartCalm Ultra, and I decided he didn't need such a strong calming supplement so I put him on this one. Well he was back to his old self... Spooking and sometime bolting. He will be going on SmartCalm now. However, I do reccomend this, but I think it depends on the horse. For my gelding, SmartCalm works for him and this one didn't, for some people this one works and SmartCalm doesn't!

I started by 4 yo QH gelding on this a few mos ago and am seeing GREAT results.
During the winter, Frost was jumping and uneasy on trail. After about 1 month of this supplement i started to find him more relaxed and not bothered by the deer or noises in the park we ride in.
I will be keeping him on this, and i highly recommend it! I dont often write reviews, but i felt i should since i saw such great results.

Really Does Work

We purchased this because the farm we bought our new mare from had her on this and we wanted to continue. Our 24 year old Quarter Horse mare became extremely Buddy Sour towards the new mare to the point she was throwing herself around her stall when we would take the other mare out. We were terrified she was going to hurt herself or stress herself into a colic. We decided to try the Quiessence on her to see if it would calm her down and it worked!! We did the loading dose for 10 days and were already seeing an improvement so we went ahead and cut her back to the maintenance dose. She will still whinny a bit when bringing them in at night until our new mare is in her stall but the panic mode is GONE and she is a much happier mare!

My farrier recommended this to me for my boy who may have some low grade laminitis or at least inflammation of the laminae. I haven't seen a change really but I trust my farrier. His feet seem to be improving but he is also now on a hoof supplement. I'll keep him on it for awhile. Remission was also suggested and it is much cheaper but smartpak doesn't sell it.

Recently, my 11 year old Mustang gelding has been more hot-headed than usual, spooking at things he had never looked twice at and just generally being irritatingly nervous. Nothing had changed with our habits or his surroundings. It was a drastic change for him, and it made me apprehensive about doing any work with him.
I decided to look into Quiessence. I had heard good things about it and the reviews here looked good. After three days on the load dose, my boy was calm and cool as a cucumber. I thought it must be a fluke, and I decided not to be "silly and overly-optimistic" as I texted my barn manager. However, less than a month into the supplement, he has still been great!
I am very thankful to Quiessence for giving us back the trust in our relationship. I'm looking forward to continuing our Amoeba and Tadpole eventing this year because I know he's feeling more stable.
