My horses love to play with their jolly ball, so I tried it for my dogs (since they always were stealing the horse's jolly balls). The dogs *LOVE* it.

I bought this for my 4 year old dog, Diesel, who has more energy than he knows what to do with. He loves it! He swings it, chews on it, throws it up in the air and as it bounces he chases it! This is a great toy to play with him or he spends hours playing with it himself!

I bought this toy for my energetic Australian Shepard. He loves frisbees, but ruins them easily (if not supervised). This ball seems to be made well, and hopefully will last for awhile! Great toy!

The jolly ball has stood up to a very lively puppy! He has not punctured or tore it yet. And he seems to go through toys faster than I can buy them. The weather doesn't seem to affect it at all.

My dog LOVES this toy. I have a large one for my horse, and he likes it just fine so I figured, why not share the love? She helped me unpack it and she hasn't let it out of her sight yet! She is a small-ish German Shepherd so I got her the 6" ball (red). It's the perfect size for her to carry around inside, which she does ALL the time :) She also has a 10" one that is too big for in the house and is better for outdoor play time

I hate rating this product so low because I have LOVED every other item I've purchased from SmartPak! However, the large Jolly Ball was only in the house for 10 minutes before Coal (my 10 month old lab) was able to chew the handle right off--I was shocked that it really took little or no effort. I literally handed it to him and took the box out to the garbage and by the time I got back it was dismantled into two parts. Needless to say, I threw it right away as it wouldn't float with the hole in it and he just wasn't as interested or tempted to play with as he was to chew.
If your dog is NOT a chewer, this would be a great toy. For us, it was a waste of money as the material was NOT forgiving at all.

The jolly ball did not hold up to my super-chewer. Within 5 minutes, the top handle was in pieces. He still plays with the ball, but I am left with concern about the durability of the product.

I have two labs, a mastiff and a french bulldog. They have dozens of toys but all fight over this one! It's great to play fetch or for them to play tug of war.

...but he is a very aggressive chewer. I was hoping this toy would last, but he chewed the handle off in a matter of minutes. I took the toy away for about a week, but he was driving me crazy one day, so I pulled it out of the bin and gave it to him again. He has chewed many little pieces off, but he's not eating them, and he loves running while he carries the ball. I guess as long as he's having fun... I wouldn't recommend this to strong chewers, but either way, dogs love this toy!
Our dog loves his jolly ball. The handle chews up pretty easy, but the ball part holds up really well. It's his new favorite toy!

It has held up better than most toys he has owned and has kept his interest more as well! We use it mostly outside because of how hard it is. The only issue we had was he cracked his dew claw while chasing it because of how hard it is but once it healed he was right back at it! i would recommend it for any high energy dog!

My year old yellow lab chewed most of the handle off of this in about 10 minutes. But she loves these things, so I cannot help buying them. I bought the horse size for her - and she loves that too - and has had that one awhile without completely chewing the handle off. I suggest you buy the horse size if you have a medium to large size aggressive 'chewer" dog. Even though the horse size is really big for her, she still carts it around the yard and uses it to push her other toys around. her favorite toy
Our 11 month old yellow lab ate the handle off the large red jolly then we turned it into a bowling ball that he plays with outside only. He gets a hold of the holes and brings it back. Blue smaller ball ate the handle off and tried to eat the ball. Not for him.

I have a German Shepard who just loves this ball. With her, it lasts at least a month. We call it her anger management tool. Whenever she wants to show how tough she is, she grabs it, bites it and shakes it. She'll also play fetch with it, however, it is kind of heavy for throwing.
My Dalmatian is a bit more sensitive, he prefers softer balls to play with. However, he is good with his toys....not a destroyer. He can manage the smaller ball.
My German Shorthaired Pointer on the other hand, is more of a tear-up a toy type and he can destroy it in minutes. He's not allowed to play with it...tennis balls are his thing. (He can play fetch all day.)
