"I give a gram of bute a day to my 30-something year old mare to help with arthritis in her knee. I just break the tablet up into a couple pieces, squirt some Ration Plus over them, and she gobbles it up with her grain. Very economical choice for an older horse."

I just had my vet call it in and it showed up with my smartpaks. While bulk ordering might have been a little cheaper, I loved getting this in my smartpak. "I ordered the alfalfa flavor becuase I had already tried hiding bute in mints, carrots, and apples with no success. I just poured it on his grain, gave it a quick shake to mix and he ate it w/out a problem. If you're feeding a pelleted feed you might need to moisten it a bit so that the powder doesn't drop to the bottom. I'm very pleased with the ease of use of this product."

"With a herd of 21 horses and growing having a bottle of "Bute" on hand is comforting. We just grind it up and put in a mixture of a grain or some sweet feed to get it passed the "sniff" test, usually without any problems.
