"Some horse people say free choice, good quality hay is all that's needed to avoid sand colic, but this product also offers a bit of emotional support. I feel better for having it in my horses' nutritional plan. It's sort of like having insurance."

"On our barns random fecal check 5 horses were found to have sand. The vet recommended we do a spot check ourselves to have a baseline. Well, of course my horse had about a tablespoon of sand come out of a handful sample of manure, how much more is still inside him? I couldnt believe it. I knew he was a dirt eater and is on treatment for ulcers due to frequent "tummy aches" and felt the sand could also be contributing, so as a group we purchased and treated all the 5 horses. To my relief
one week later my horse was totally "sand free" on
recheck. I will definitely keep checking him
throughout the year and use this again. Taste gets
a 4, because two horses were hesitant to eat it the first couple days, but were finishing it up by day 7.

I swear she even feels better..........go SmartPak!.....and you just can't beat their customer service people!"

"My horse is an extremely picky eater, he will not eat powders, granular types, etc. Even with treats he will turn down many things! We live in FL, so basically the "soil" is sand, so this is a MUST to make sure the sand is removed. He eats up all of the pellets, and I have been giving this to him for 2 years now, no problems. I get the buckets, even though I get his other supplements in smartpaks, because it is a lot cheaper that way. I asked a rep about it, and they said that is how the manufacturer would allow them to price it. Oh well! It's only for 7 days, I just put them in little Glad plastic snack containers and dump it in at the same time as his smartpaks. Highly recommend to anyone in a sandy environment, and with a picky eater."

"I have two geldings and the one eats it just fine, but the other one ate it the first month, but will no longer eat it. We live on sand so it is very important to do a monthly sand purge. We've tried Sand Clear and this product and he won't eat either of them. I would recommend this product to friends who's horses aren't picky eaters."

"Just moved to southern Alabama in Nov. 2011 from Northern Illlinois. Needed to find a product in bulk for sand colic, since I have 8 horses. Purchased the 50 lb. box of Natural Psyllium Fiber which will cover my 8 horses needs for three months. Much better value then purchasing 3 lb. cans at the local feed store."

"One of our newer horses came to the barn with noticeable sand sounds in her gut, according to our vet. She told us to use this product and double the dose for two weeks. When she came back out we did a sand test with the manure and she said the sounds she heard earlier were gone. I've been a believer in this psyllium product ever since. And the HORSES LOVE IT!! They eat it up when mixed with their grain rations."
