"Frankly a bit disappointed with this pad, but in such need of one, and it's doing it's job, so keeping it. The fabric is frankly bristly, rather than soft - reminds me almost of some kind of scrubbing material. It is also thinner than I anticipated. But it's keeping its shape, and was a good fit for my saddle. I do, however, have it over another quilted pad. A fleece pad holds my saddle in place well - my TB, although tall, is rather fine boned and narrow.
I'm a re-rider, and have been dismayed by the prices of saddle pads, when years ago we used to have many soft synthetic fleece pads that were reasonably priced, and could be easily tossed in the wash, and they'd last forever. Have already returned a high priced sheepskin pad that fell apart in 6 months and felt lined almost with cardboard.
Hopefully after this one is washed, it will soften up a bit. Suppose it makes no difference to my horse, but kind of gives me the willies handling it!"

"I am now in lessons for English Pleasure and Hunter under saddle. Little bit of a transition from western. I bought this fleece pad not for lessons, since my trainer said my baby pad is fine for now, but for trail riding in the English saddle. Since I trail ride for about an hour to two hours, I want to have as much cushion under the saddle and my horse's back. Even though my legs are screaming in pain from posting, my horse needs to be comfortable. I bought the 18" since I have longer flaps on my saddle to fit my long legs. It fit perfectly! Now all I need is to get used to trail riding in my little itty bitty english saddle compared to my rocking chair western saddle!"

"I love this pad. I have had a lot of trouble trying to find a pad that fits my new saddle, a 17.5" foward-flap jumping saddle. I bought the Medallion pad because I had heard good things about the quality, and I was tired of cheap pads that don't fit properly. I purchased the Medallion pad one size larger than my saddle (18-18.5") and it fits PERFECTLY! What a relief to finally have a pad that fits my saddle! I love the high-profile wither relief design as well, keeps my horse's withers free from restriction."
