"These are the smallest spurs ever. I am riding with Frank Madden and have to wear them with my super forward WB. These are more rounded and fatter than the smallest ones you can buy on other sites. The barn all laughed at how "cute and tiny" my spurs are, but they are perfect."

"I've never used spurs before so i wanted to get a pair that i could learn with and not make my horse crazy. 1.) I didn't like that the opening for the strap was rounded, because unless you have the braided ones, I had a hard time getting my leather straps in. 2.) They seemed very small to fit on the my boot. Even when I showed my trainer she thought i ordered the childs size. It was very tight and uncomfortable when worn. Sure I could have stretched them out but the spur ended up being too short for my liking. I ended up exchanging them."

"I absolutely love this spur. I was looking for something small to reinforce my leg on my mare who had recently gotten a little lazy in her pace. I didn't need much of anything and this spur fit the bill. It was exactly the length she needed and was easy for me to take off the pressure when need be. I am so glad I was able to find one with a rounded end for her thin thoroughbred skin. These spurs are lightweight, easy to polish and very professional looking."

"I love these spurs for the young kids that I teach. They tend to not have great (or any) leg control so they can wear these spurs without concern of doing any damage. Many times come summer, their ponies need that little extra encouragement so these spurs are a great. I also like the other reviewers encourage them to be engraved so there is no confusion. Plus you cannot beat the price!"

"I searched every where for a small rounded end spur and found them at SmartPak!. They work perfect without being harsh. My only problem...I should have ordered new spur straps to go with them as my old nylon ones were to wide. Lesson learned, when you get new spurs, throw in a pair of spur straps, that way when you get them you can start using them right away."

"The "neck" on these are very tiny - the spur rests on my boots actually protrude more than the spur :). They are super-gentle & did not give my sensitive TB any rubs whatsoever. They did rub MY ankles a bit, but I was not careful about bending them to fit me before I put them on.
If your horse needs more "go" & you have an educated leg, the Tom Thumb spurs might be a better choice in a small-necked spur."

"These spurs are great for someone learning to ride in them for the first time. They have a very small nub on them (I would hardly call it a neck). They are great to learn with, but if you have a lazy horse like me, you may want to go with something a bit more neck. But great if you need just a little "something" to get him going."

"they don't give my thin-skinned sensitive horse rubs, and they have just the right amount of power to them. i think this is the perfect spur for the horse that just needs a little 'reminder,' or someone who's just learning to use spurs -- they aren't big enough to get you into any trouble, but they're just big enough to make a statement."
