The Charles Owen Hampton is covered with the best Italian velvet. The peak is gently rounded to flatter the face and shade the eyes. The adjustable deerskin harness is made from stay-soft leather and reinforced with nylon for additional strength, security and durability. The Charles Owen Hampton is lined with luxurious gold satin and has a rich black velour headband for the utmost comfort and softness against the skin. Black or Brown.?

"This was my daughters pick for a Christmas present. This is a beautifully made helmet in every way; gorgeous lining and velvet, not velveteen, nice harness and classic details including coming with a satin bag to store it in. unfortunately the thing is absolutely *huge* in profile and my daughter didn't like that look. It is so thickly padded it stands away from the forehead about 2 inches and the same all around. My daughter ended up getting a velvet Troxel which is just as nice really so everyone is happy."

"I strongly advocate Charles Owen helmets, and this helmet is no exception! It truly is luxurious velvet, and the harness is so comfortable, and I can't say that for all helmets! My only complaint is it'll leave you with a sweaty head on some gentle rides; I found my GR8 was much more airy."

"I adore this helmet. It is extremly comfy and looks great in the show ring. I have had mine for about 5 years, and it has faded a little bit, but it has been FIVE years of hot, sunny shows, cold, rainy shows, and everything in between. The only negative to this helmet is it gets a little hot, but honestly not that bad at all. I seriously recommend this helmet for anyone showing!"

"I got this helmet thinking maybe I should try something alittle nicer and trim looking for the shows(I'm not a big fan of the "stripe down the middle" helmets). This is so comfortable and easy to clean. The velvet is so soft and appealing, I don't know why everyone else doesn't have it! It does get sweaty and hot up there, but after setting it down for 5 minutes, the helmet is already dry!"

"I chose this helmet because of it's beautiful show-ring worthy looks, and the comfort! I have not yet fallen with this helmet, but I know when the time comes, this helmet will protect me! The soft velvet looks so classic, I've gotten tons of compliments on it! The leather harness looks so professional, I love it! My only complaints are, because of the lack of vents, it got quite hot and I was very sweaty. I have even passed out once in this helmet. The leather harness did seem to stretch a bit too, but that's it. I love this helmet and will continue to wear it for my show career!"

"I have this helmet along with the GR8 and a GPA Titium Pro. The Hampton has the wonderful, wonderful Charles Owen comfort that I love. If you've never tried a Charles Owen this is an economical starter version. It has the classic appearance of traditional helmets which makes it appropriate across almost all specialties and disciplines. The traditional styling also means it's timeless. You won't find yourself spending a fortune on the next latest and greatest $500 helmet if you get the Hampton!! Surround your head with supreme comfort and style at an affordable price point!!!! A note on fit. The Charles Owens helmets tend to fit people with more oval shaped heads. My rounder headed friends prefer the original GPA helmets (not the newer pro models)."

"I wear this helmet for day to day riding, and it still looks amazing and very classic in the show ring. It is perfect for lower level dressage where you still have to wear a helmet because it is not bulky and looks classic. It is also super comfortable and the padding is still soft, and the leather harness, too!"
