Good product for a good price! The only problem I find is that it is a little bit too small for an 18 inch dressage saddle... Theyshould have size options!

Though this is well made, it is very long and not really as formed for the whithers as others I had seen in person. I bought this based only on the online description. It slides out the back from under my saddle fairly frequently as it has no straps to hold it to the saddle. My under pad is very slippery as its a plaid plasticy sort of fabric which is probably why the sliding. I would have sent it back but I had already used it and it was dirty, so I am just hiking it really forward and making sure the girth is nice and tight and hoping for the best!

My very sensitive mare really likes this pad. It seems a little bit too long, though, not fitting the saddle quite as well as I had expected.

Although I have a saddle that is customized to my horse, she is still tense in the back. This is just something quirky about my horse... but, for some reason, having this extra bit of padding does help her a lot. She's able to relax a little more, bring her back up, and we have happier rides. It's not a cure-all. But, it's worth every penny to have a happier horse. I've washed it and it comes out very nice each time. I always let it air dry, of course, but it does need some airflow (like a fan going in the room) for it to dry overnight.

This half pad is one of the best on the market. Thick, soft and comfy for your horse, and the cut-out helps freedom of motion for your horse. I would highly recommend this pad and SmartPak has the best price on the net for it.
