Bought during baby preparation shopping spree. After, I thought it might have been a silly purchase...but we had some of the coldest weather of the season right after our foal was born. While the blanket is very adjustable, it was a bit too large for a newborn. But within a week it fit pretty well and it got us through to warmer weather. Will now go into the hand-me-down bin for my friend's foals next year!

My dogs (Great Danes) have had a couple weeks now of the near constant wearing of their newborn blankets and still enjoy them. I can not tell you how wonderful it is to see them stand leisurely outside in frigid weather awaiting the next chance to pounce without a shiver. They are the perfect weight to allow comfortable maneuvering while playing and more than adequate warmth. We are still thrilled with the purchase although I must admit I long for the summer months.

It is my pleasure to post my comments on your site. However you must know, I do not use the Newborn Foal Blanket for horses. I use them for my Great Danes who have found this years winter to be more than a seasonal nuisance. It has been bitter cold. The coats allow them the leisure of a much needed play time outside. These blankets are most functional, a true blessing in disguise. Not only are they enjoying the warmth I am enjoying removing the muddy apparel and leaving it outside.

I purchased this for a very large dog and unfortunately, it is still too small. I contacted customer service and they have gone out of their way to help me find the right size, re-measuring and checking several times. I have now ordered a new product and am confident it will fit! I have a friend that may be able to use the foal blanket but I have been assured I can return it for a full refund.

I know this is going to sound funny, but I got these for my 2 Great Danes and they work GREAT! They are perfect for a dog that is 130lbs and 100lbs. The adjustable front makes it easy to fit. And it will be the only winter coat I will have to buy as they grow. Thanks for a great coat.
