STRONGID? C 2X? (pyrantel tartrate) is an equine anthelmintic designed to be administered on a daily basis to provide a continuous, preventive level of pyrantel in the intestinal tract. STRONGID? C 2X? prevents migration of large strongyle larvae. In addition to your daily dewormer, you will also?receive 1 syringe of Equimax paste dewormer?every 6 months, beginning?with your 6th shipment.

"Such a simple way to keep your horse on an effective worming schedule. Forget the hassle of who gets what wormer when. The semi-annual paste for tapeworms comes automatically when the horses are due and the rest of the time, you don't' have to give the worming schedule a thought since it is just another smartpak well. A great product especially for a full barn with a lot of horses to keep on track."

"I am overall happy with the product, but in my experience with daily wormers you paste worm them before starting the daily wormer. When I called SP to question the paste not being in my shipment I was told that the wormer comes 6 months later?

"The packaging for this feed-thru wormer is just too cool. Each horse has his own box, the horses' name is labeled on each dose, and the appropriate dose for each individual is in each daily pak.
The only downside to this is that, if you are like me and you have too many horses, opening each pack every morning gets to be a bit much. I love this concept, but I am switching to the Smartpak bulk. I would stick with this if the dosing were such that each horsde only had one segmental piece to open, but my big guys have three segments each. I would think this could be easily remedied by packaging doses in single paks by weight, instead of adding segments for each weight increment."
