"Old Timer's Bran Mash smelled so good when I first opened the bucket, that I wanted a taste. I saved that pleasure for my horse, and I must say that he licked the feed pan clean.
Product is a bit pricey, however, serving it once a week and seeing him enjoying it is worth every penny."

"Trying new things with horses can be difficult at times, especially food. When my horse arrived here, I made him a mash (always done after a long trip and on a once-a-week basis at home). It is easy to prepare, and I was pleased when he tucked into it and finished it. You can smell the various herbs and ingredients, and it is very palatable. I make him a mash once a week, especially during winter months. He's 23 now, and deserves a special treat."

"My Hanoverian Queen of Sheba who turns her nose up at just about every treat snorts this down like a piglet. The white willow bark also helps with some swelling from arthritis. I definitely recommend this and tell all my barn friends to buy it. Even for younger horses it would be a nice treat!"

"I don't know exactly how much amount of medicinal portions are in this mix, as there is no guaranteed amount printed, but my horse loves the taste, and I feel that he is less sore, if at all. The recommended amount is once a week 5 cups, but I give my horse a cup daily. I saw a clump of white powder in the bucket, and I crushed it and mixed it in, but I would rather see everything evenly mixed to begin with. I would like to continue until the show season starts, I think, but I have to be careful for the stomach irritants in the ingredients."

"Oh my gosh! I was mugged. I split a bag between both my horses. They got one taste of this stuff and after they ate their portions mugged me to lick the bag. This is a great treat!
They were so happy.

"My horse now loves this bran mash, but I still have to feed it in very small quantities because it has a very strong smell - peppermints etc. So, I'd recommend starting your horse on no more than 1/2 cup, mixed into the regular grain."

"Use this for my 21 year old hunter who sometimes fills in teaching young munchkins, but mostly cruises around the 2'6 hunter divisions with my oldest daughter.
He gets this treat after he teaches my littlest munchkins as a reward. He will watch me add water to the pouch and will not take his eyes off me until it goes into his bucket!! He always licks that bucket clean too! I use it about once a week. I recommend it to all my folks who have geriatric or pre geriatric (over 15) horses!"

"My horse loves this but it is also very expensive. With shipping it costs $11 for a single serving of oat bran. Because of this I can only give this to him occasionally (once a month) instead of once a week, which is preferred."

"We usually buy small packets of specialty bran as a treat, but you can't beat the price of this bucket if you have a barnful. Every horse licked his feeding bucket clean, even our pickiest.
Great value.

"Love that the ingredients can be soaked in the bag itself prior to feeding. This was super convenient! Just add hot/cold water and let sit and then 10 min. later it is ready to pour right from the bag into the bucket. My older children's horse loves his weekly treat!"
