After going through several antibiotics with no luck, we finally settled on Tucoprim for one of my OTTBs who had a wound that just wouldn't heal. Though quite pricey, it worked for him. No proud flesh, but some pretty bad scarring (which is attributed to the tissue taking so long to heal, not the Tucoprim).

Our family had purchased our first horse in February 2009 and shortly after in March she was severly injured. She needed emergency care and the vet prescribed Tucoprim to help fight infection. We are happy to say she is making a complete recovery. My mare had a very severe upper respiratory infection. She had a super high temperature, and even the vet was becoming worried. He prescribed this, and it helped put her back on her feet fast.
