"After struggling with my very sensitive mare for the last couple years, I finally decided to try some of this. It's legal in dressage competition and doesn't take as long to work as the other options out there. My mare had scored only 53% on her best day (in the easier test) because of her tension. Today, with B-Kalm on board, she scored an amazing 73% at the harder of her two tests!! She was relaxed, focused, and listening the entire time. She still had a couple of starts at loud noises, but overall she was better able to listen to me and focus on her job. I will be getting more to help her at our shows this summer! :)"

"I have tried this twice on a nervous pony, and once on 2 other horses, and I did not get the result I was looking for at all. The pony is typically nervous at the in-gate for her classes, and it didn't change anything. away from the in-gate she stood mostly asleep, but was just as nervous in the arena as usual. I have tried half a tube and a whole tube at different shows with no difference. I also tried this on a TB gelding, who had no difference whatsoever, and seemed actually worse than usual. I also tried this on an Appaloosa who isn't bad at shows, just seems to have a little too much energy, and again, no difference at all. I will be trying Perfect Prep Extreme at the next show and see if that makes a difference. I just want them to act a little bit less goofy in the new situations."

"I'd never used a calming paste before - I never had much faith that they would work, but in every effort to make sure my mare's first show would be a positive experience, I picked one up. I was really impressed! My horse has her spooky places, and I thought for sure that when they put the judge's huge parasol up that she would have a problem, but she didn't look twice at anything and rather seemed to be really focused and happy to work (and we got the highest scores of the show!). I will definitely pick one up for the next show, but I may use half a tube to see what happens then."

"We have given B-Kalm to racehorses before they ship, to take the edge off, and it is highly effective. What I like about this product is, because it is simply L-Tryptophan and nothing else, it is not only a naturally occuring substance but it does not make a horse feel drugged or draggy - therefore, for shipping it is quite safe. Also for helping take the nervous edge when a horse has to be in a new environment. We've given it to stallions who of course can't be aced, and it is helpful for them in certain situations, too. I recommend it."

"I have a 7 yr old QH gelding who gets nervous at shows. I wanted to give him something to help him calm down and take the edge off him. Unfortunately, it did not work at all! He still whinnied, looked nervously around the wouldn't stand still. I did try it the day before, however we were at home where he is always calm and quiet. I thought perhaps it dociled him a bit more, but after taking him to the show and having given it to him an hour or more before (which it says 1-2 hrs to kick in) once we got there its like I hadn't even given him anything. I had to try. But, what works for one horse may not always work for another. I will continue to try things on him to see what works for him."

"I bought this paste for a nervous spooky horse. He is 17 Hands and 1400 lbs so I gave him the whole thing. Too much. I should have given him half. It was a scary arena and he was spooking so I gave him all of the paste. He calmed down like an old ranch horse. Since he is a HUS horse, I needed him to still have some energy to do a good looking long trot. That didn't happen. He jogged like a western pleasure horse as calm as can be! I love this stuff but I give him less if he needs it now!"

"This product was OK. I did seem to calm my mare down a bit. She was still very excited in the ring but she did seem to be able to concentrate better. I'm going to try a mare calming supplement and see if that has a better effect for my mare."

"My 9 year old is usually lovely but gets really nervous and hard to handle at shows. I used this product and while it didnt keep him totally quite on the ground, it did take the show nervousness edge off and made him much easier to handle, safer and quieter in the ring. I was nervous about the high dose of this particular product, but my horse was perfectly alert and awake just not insane! He swallowed it without a problem so it must taste OK. You do need to be sure you give the full 2 hours for it to kick in."

"I was worried when I used this that it would make my horse really sleepy and unable to keep up with my riding group.
But he did just fine and was calmer and safer for me!

"i have used this product many times. Plainly, given 1 hour before the event, it eliminates "off of the farm" jitters without sleepiness. The horse can focus on his job and less on what's going on around him. The horse is alert and calm, just what everyone wants. I am currently breaking a carriage pony that would get very excited when he would see another horse hitched up. After administering this product, he may perk up his ears at something new or spooky, but given a cue, he's right back to me. I would recommend this product in the situation where ace had been used for the first few outings, and now sleepiness is not desired for true acclimation to "off of the farm" outings. Bring a rag though, because the paste is pink, and the pink slobber can get everywhere!"
