I purchased SmartCalm for my 3.5 year old spotted saddle horse who came to me only halter-broke and very spooky and unfocused I swear he had ADHD. He would look at everything like it was going to eat him up any second and run sideways. After starting SmartCalm he is able to focus on learning and his spookiness is almost non-existent. While he will sometimes look at stuff...he no longer comes unglued...he just looks at it as he passes and then goes on about his business. SmartCalm has done wonders for this little guy!

My Hano Arab cross has been a nervous mess since the day I considered buying him. In his stall he would weave so terribly that his face was always injured and needed to wear a face bumper. He gulped down his food and would start weaving again. Not only was colic and choking a constant threat, the weaving was taking a toll on his joints. A period of unsoundness and xrays showed major arthritic changes. Originally injections were the only option to keep him doing the job he loved, eventing. His vet advised addressing the causes of the problem before tryin injections. More turnout, SmartFlex and SmartCalm were ordered in hopes of making him more comfortable indoors. SmartCalm has truly eased his anxiety, he doesn't even weave anymore and an unexpected bonus is he is less reactive under saddle. The combination of supplements has not only provided him the comfort he needed to keep doing his job, but the option to move forward with his training. I'd recommend the product to anyone. My only recommendation is pelleted form as the powder is easily blow away if fed out in the field.
I now have a happy partner even when schooling Dressage. Thanks SmartPak!

CRAZY effective!...for the one that would eat it. My hyper-sensitive Thoroughbred questioned his grain for a week after one attempted dose, but my edgy Warmblood scarfed it right up! Within a week my WB was significantly more at ease in his own skin. This smells delicious, so it seems Picky-Eater approved, but I would taste test with a severely picky eater first.

Granted, I've only had the supplement for a couple weeks, but so far there is very little difference, if any at all. I'm going to wait out the whole month just to be sure. Could be a thoroughbred thing, who knows. Glad I didn't buy in bulk. First SmartPak supplement I was disappointed in. :(

I was a little worried about trying SmartCalm with my 6 y/o OTTB. I had seen some comments of it not working for the TB population. Within a week, I had a noticeable difference in my horse. He was the kind of guy that might spook at a shadow the 8th time we passed it or if "something" changed (e.g., my trainer moved a standard). Now he will take a half step sideways vs bolting across the ring! I have even noticed a difference in him walking out to pasture (he no longer prances or requires a chain to head outside). Very happy with my purchase of SmartCalm and plan to continue to use it in the future.

I had moved barns, changed feeds and put my OTTB fox hunter prospect on SmartCalm. He was so good and laid back I couldn't believe the difference. Thinking it was one of the other changes we had made, I stopped giving him the SmartCalm after a month. He turned back into a nervous twitchy dancing beast in the cross-ties when he used to nearly fall asleep in them. It was the only change we made. Luckily I have some of the paste on hand to get me through this weekend until his new Smartpaks arrive with SmartCalm in them again. This stuff has been magic for us!

I Tried this supplement thinking that it would help my Young TB be a little less stressed when we work in our lessons over crossrails and at horse shows. It didnt really help him much. I am only through 2 weeks of my SmartPak with it so I am going to give it the whole month but then I think I will try the SmartCalm Ultra and see how that works. Im sure it works for some, but maybe he just needs a little extra.

My 5yr old horse Mohegan was diagnosed with low magnesium after 2yrs of owning him. He became spooky & had muscle soreness out of no where. We started Quiessence but he didnt care for the taste, So I ordered Smatcalm powder smartpaks which has vitamin b,And helps in the absorbtion of Magnesium and helps muscles. Since adding the smartcalm powder to the Quiessence Mohegan has not showed any dislike now.Most importantly he is not spooky or irritable anymore.....We have our fun loving Moe back :)

My TB mare at times had ADD--to the point that her own shadow could unravel her focus during a training session. My trainer recommended a magnesium supplement to get her to stay focused but I didn't want to drug my horse into behaving properly. SmartCalm provides exactly what I am looking for-- after a month I noticed how calmer my horse is and her focus stays on me. We still have our green moments, but I like that my mare regains her focus quickly and we can continue our riding session :-)

I wanted my quite sweet mare that I purchased back. She was not focused and a bit on the edge. So a friend recommended trying smartcalm. I reviewed this product about a month ago and gave it a poor review because it was not working on our gelding. (Smartpak actually called and offered to refund the purchase price and help us find another product that might work.) We chose to continue feeding this product to see if it just needed time to get into his system. Well, it's been working. We're happy to report that he's relaxed quite a bit and does not get as distracted when schooling. I'm also pleased that he has not lost his personality and overall desire to play in the pasture.
