"Our 8 yr old shepherd has been suffering from skin issues for 2 years now. We have spent hundreds on vet bills, injections, creams, lotions, supplements, changes in foods, flea meds, etc with no success. She had reached the point of constantly scratching, 50% hair loss, and the hair that was left was brittle and gummy. Her skin was rough, inflamed, scaley and had sores. Overall she was miserable.
At first I was skeptical about trying yet another supplement I was sure wouldnt work, but knowing Smartpak had a good rep I decided to try the Maxiderm along with Joint Ultra (for her hips). After just two weeks I noticed significant changes. She had begun to grow hair where she hasn't had it for over a year. Her nasty skin had become smooth and pliable again and the inflammation has gone down. Her old coat was no longer gummy and brittle and she looks so much happier. I would recommend this to anyone whose dog has skin issues. It has been a miracle for my girl!"

"Our little mutt has had problems with a dry coat since we adopted her. Over the winter, the dry coat became much worse and she started scratching at herself badly.
We added this supplement to her Smartpak and within a couple days we saw a difference in her coat. Within a couple weeks she wasn't scratching herself up. These days she only itches a little bit and her coat is thick and glossy.
We put her on a loading dose to start (one capsule in the morning and one at night) which is twice the suggested dose for her, and her coat actually got a bit oily. We're trying the suggested dose now to see if she stays comfortable."

"I'm not sure if this product works, because my dog can not chew it. I have a 70# Husky/Shepard mix and she chews and chews the capsule until she finally gives up and spits it out. Cutting and draining the capsule will be a headache, but it will have to be done to see if the product works. Other reviews made it sound like their dogs ate it like treats. Not sure how. Would like a product easier to feed."

"I have an 8 year old dachshund "Snickers" and his skin during the summer months was terrible. He had many "hot spots" and lost most of his hair on his legs. He was always biting himself. I found this miracle supplement "MaxiDerm EFA" and it has worked wonders. His coat is very shiny, he hardly gets any hot spots any longer and doesn't lose his hair. He has been on this supplement for over a year and I swear by this product."

"This product has really helped my English Setter clear up his HOT SPOTS! Which is why I tried EAF in the first place. But it also seems to help his runny eyes and allergie symptoms too! I have recommended EAF to a friend that has a dog with hot spots on her legs. I have all my dogs on this product now, and they eat the pills right out of my hand!"

"I have a 2yr old Boarder Collie named 'Dixie Doodle' and my poor girl suffers from dematitis I've tried many products and changed her diet and I know the addition of this supplement has helped her. "Can't comment on how well these work, because my dog won't eat them. She leaves them in her dish every night. My cat sure seems to enjoy them though. My dog is extremely finicky - if yours is too, you may want to consider a different product."

"My aging Australian Shepherd has always had dry itchy skin, with flea bite allergies. Nothing helped, even the high priced pills from the vet! Maxi-derm EFA capsules are the best! She has been getting 3 each day for several months. There is no annoying scratching and biting, and no nasty smell. She happily eats her food with the "meds" squeezed on top. We will never run out again!"
