I started using this on my dressage horse after an odd check ligament injury two years ago and we haven't looked back. He healed so well, I keep him on it for additional support. I just wish they had kept the powdered formula as I now have to pay extra for the pelleted when my horse was happy eating the powdered.
I swear by this product for my older horse who has had tendon and neck issues (I know sounds weird) but the soft tissue support this supplement provides is amazing. Not sure what I am going to do now- he is a picky eater- doesn't like the pellet form, and can't use the Smart Paks at the barn he is at. Smart Pak- PLEASE BRING THE BULK form of the powder back!!!

My girl has been highly stressed, she lost her life partner and moved from our 2 acre backyard to a new town and into a boarding facility. After loosing my paso fino, we were down to just one horse, so we took the opportunity to move closer to family, leaving the "open ranges" for city life. We were hoping that she would enjoy all the new "friends" and would no longer be so lonely, but not so. All the stress has been making her tie-up and I noticed her getting very tender on her old navicular injury and increased soreness in her back, so I researched supplements and found smart tendon and smart calm. She has responded well, she is no longer a "google-eyed crazy mess" we can go for walks without her saying "ouch" when she puts her right front down and she is not afraid of her own shadow! Making progress daily :)
Our quarter horse suffered a hock / collateral ligament injury in Nov 2011. His rehab plan involved a slow, patient year of healing. He has healed completely and is back to his normal riding / showing schedule. We have added Samrt Tendon to his daily supplements and are very happy with the results. And the extra bonus is he loves the taste!!

My aged gelding got a splint and bowed a tendon within months of each other. After some horrific farrier work that left him completely unsound, I thought he would never be able to work again. I did some research and found SmartTendon. I thought it couldn't hurt while he was rehabbing his bowed tendon and the strain in his fetlocks. This supplement helped him make great leaps in his recovery! His tendons and ligaments everywhere were affected positively! I am happy to report that he is back to work 6 days a week and he is loving life again. Thank you Smartpak!!!
Early this spring my 5yo QH tore his hind suspensory ligament. I started him on SmartRebab until the injury started healing & then I switched him to this product to finish the healing process. He's not lame anymore, and the lumps on his cannon bone have actually decreased in size from the help of the added ingredients (silica, collagen, etc). Even though he's almost 100% again, I feed him this just as a preventative because of his past injury. It's a great peace of mind & I'm glad I found this product!

I aquired a fjord/quarter mix ( 7yrs old). Later on he was diaginosed with degenerative suspensory disorder. I tried many supplements, some claimed to be for this problem, costing fortune, others where a waste of a lot of money and a lot of fillers. So far, this supplement has help him maintain his movement. He's been on this for 4 yrs now, I've also started to give it to my 13yr old paint. My fjord will never be rideable, but he will always be the best fence bucket carry!!! Thank you Smartpak

While I've only used this product for approximately three months, my mare eats it no problem. She came off the track with a sore suspensory and we haven't had any problems since I've had her. So... for maintenance purposes I'm very happy... it seems to be doing it's job.

After more than 4 years of rehabilitation, icing, hand walking, and an entire year of stall rest, we tried the product SmartTendon. It has worked like a miracle! I now have my horse on a steady working schedule of light trotting which we increase as he gets stronger. In a few months we hope to upgrade him to the canter. Thank you SmartTendon!

Can't be absolutely sure this works but my mare's Tendon is filling in and she eats it...she is very picky! I plan to keep her on it as her 20% tear was below the fetlock on a rear leg....not the best news. But so far she is walking without a limp. I'm keeping my fingers x'd and give her this daily :>)

My mare was diagnosed with a 20% tear in the SFT low on the rear fetlock about 3 months ago. To say this is bad is an understatement! We seem to be progressing well and may get the ok to start canter work in 60 days. Can't say absolutely this has made a difference but I'm doing everything possible that fits with in my horse budget. She laps it up in her beet pulp and she is VERY picky. I plan to keep her on it after she is released from care as a preventive and to make me feel like a good Mom!

my 15 yeard old horse just recently had reconstructive surgery to her collateral ligament of the hock. I put her on Smart Tendon about a month after surgery because the recovery was not going as smoothly as the vets had hoped. Within 10 or so days there was a dramatic decrease in the swelling around her hock. I cant say I know if its actually helping the ligament without more ultrasounds but it is definitely helping with decreasing swelling and increase mobility.

I put my guy on this since he has a history of a bowed tendon. While the damage has been done, my hope is to support the tendons and see if we can keep him sound. So far so good. This product is sweet so he eats it right up. As a matter of fact, he eats his cool calories and chondrogen up since they are all so sweet. We have to keep the other horses away because they try to steal his food.
I love this stuff... its helped my horse soo much. He had a broken fetlock a year and a half ago. I let it heal and he seemed to stock up in the back if hed go outside and then have to be in for a while. His legs havent stocked up since hes been on it. He seems to carry himself alot better. He was iffy about eating it when he first started, but after a couple days he got used to it and now he cant get enough.

when taste is everything to your horse than you are very careful not to waste your money on supplements that will not only just sit at the bottom of the feeder. When mixed with other supplements too, there is always a chance that all the supplements will go uneaten too. Smartpak's items always smell so good and in this case, must taste good too, cause everything is licked up at the end of the meal. Yummmm!

I firmly believe SmartTendon has been a big part of my gelding's recovery. He absolutely loves the taste!
In June my horse tore his check ligament nearly in half and had two other minor tears in it. The prognosis was 6 months of stall rest and after that we would start slowly bringing him back. I instantly put him on SmartTendon to try and help his recovery. In September his ultrasound showed immense improvement and he started walking under saddle again. By mid-October his ligament was healed with barely any trace of the injury. He is now back to his normal self without any restrictions. I thank SmartTendon for part of his fast recovery! 4 months and back to work!

SmartTendon is a very good product for stiffness. I selected it because it contains grapeseed extract which is an antioxidant, and also has MSM and Lysine which both help stiffness. The horses eat it well and I'm glad it comes pelleted because so many supplements only come in powder form. I've used SmartTendon powder, and they ate that just as well. In addition to SmartTendon I give Grand HA which contains Chondroditin and HA 300 mg. The combination of these two products appear to be helping their stiffness. One horse has stiffness from an accident, the other horse is a senior and has aged-related stiffness.
