"My 20 year old New Forest Pony wasn't showing any signs of being stiff or sore, but would have an occasional "pop" from the hock when cantering. As a preventive measure, I wanted to start him on a joint supplement before he really needed one. After just two weeks, he was really wanting to go! All he wants to do now is canter. My two other riders also commented about how feisty and good he was feeling. Plus, he loves it! I'll admit to tasting it, just because its smells so sweet. Keeper is a really happy pony!"

"I had added this product to my smart pak, however I was at the beginning of a cycle and needed something to fill the gap between now and the new smart pak. The customer service rep was very helpful in "filling the gap". It worked perfectly -the canister ran out just as the new monthly smart pak kicked in - Thanks again"

"I have a 27 YO Arab with 27 YO teeth and he has no problems eating this supplement and no palatability problems. I have not noticed a difference in his behavior or performance, but because of his age I want him on a supplement to prevent problems. The level and type of ingredients also are what I was looking for in a senior supplement. Smart Pak Senior seems to be priced similarly to other products and I know they have good products, which is why I scored them a 4 on everything."

"i have a 23 yr. old draft qh and before smart pak he was very sluggish and sore. now hes very active and his coat it is shiney what a difference people cannot believe hes 23. i really wanted to see if it was the supplements so i took him off them for a few weeks and he didnt even want to do his workout. thank you smartpak what a difference it made."

"I sent my senior (27 years old) trail companion off to a friend's retirement farm last summer and this has proved to be a great way to provide him with all the support he needs. He likes the Smart Flex Senior and it is keeping his quality of life worry free. He is also on Smarte Vite. I like that I can also send him support supplies like fly masks and wormers etc."

"I purchased this product on accident, I meant to purchase this in pellets. My horse won't touch it and often will leave most of her grain even with sweet feed, molasses, applesauce, etc mixed in. I have no problems what so ever with the pellets. It has been well over $100 that I threw away with this purchase. When I contacted SmartPak they told me there is nothing they could do for me even though I knew after 1 scoop this wouldn't work. Very unhappy with this purchase and won't make that mistake again. Go with the pellets if you are concerned at all your horse won't eat it!"

"It is hard to maintain a senior horse, even if he is a senior and is still being used as a racehorse. This product gives my horse all of the necessary maintenance he needs as a race horse; and keeps him feeling like a young gielding. Older Barrel horses needs all the support that their body can get from supplements and this product works wonders for him."

"I have been using a higher dose smartflex product for several years following an injury. My horse is at a much lower work level now and has recovered as much as she is going to from the injury. I figured I could use a smartflex product more as a maintenance supplement than a rehab supplement.This one seems to be working out just fine."

"I ordered this for my horse unaware that Devil's Claw is a forbidden substance at USEF competitions. I think it would be best for SmartPAK to alert customers to this on the descripiton. Since I compete, it wasn't the best value. Seems like a smart supplement for a retired horse."

"My horse is a pretty picky eater and he just wasn't into the powder form of this supplement. Actually, I haven't found a powder supplement yet that he will lick up from his bowl. I did switch him to the pellet form of this supplement though and he's cleaning that up just fine and it seems to be working great for him."

"I've been giving my arthritic/somewhat "navicular"gelding a half dose of Smartflex Resilience, and decided to give Senior a try with a 15% off code. While he does still have a good range of motion, he has taken a little longer to warm up and he seems to be more footsore after a month on it. I will be switching him back to Resilience to see if it really is a difference or if I'm just now first noticing things - will post an updated review at the end of next month! But for now, I will say that it probably would be fantastic for your typical senior horse, one that's just arthritic or stiff with no other inflammation or bone/joint problems. But at the same time, a half dose of Resilience is slightly cheaper and has a little bit more of almost all of the same ingredients, plus some."

"I only had my OTTB on this for about two months, but he seemed to be doing much better while on it. He would oocasionally come out stiff when I first got him, but he had improved and was no longer coming out stiff, and his back ankle would no longer randomly swell. I used the powdered form, which he seemed to like (he's not picky) but I always worry about him eating all of it, even if he spends twenty minutes just licking the bowl. The only reason I changed his supplement is that I switched to a SmartCombo, which has joint support included."
