WE liked the idea of these so much that we sent the first order back and upon speaking to the Andis rep, thought we had gotton a defective set so we ordered another.
We had to constantly adjust the tension as the clippers would not clip as the hair changed thickness. took forever and was a poor job at that. Wish they worked better!

i already had the Oster body clippers but they are extremely loud and nearly impossible to get near my 3 year old. These clippers are nice and quiet and do a great job. And are not feared by my horse. I will have to buy a costly 2nd battery though in order to have enough time to clip the whole horse.

I worked for my trainer clipping horses all summer and she had the ones with the cord and they were really great. You kind of have to get the hang of it at first and find the right angle, but once you figure it out they clip very nicely. I have used the large body clippers by Oster as well and they get very hot very quickly. If you have the money, I would definitely consider buying these.

I have had a set of clippers like this for a few years now and use it repeatedly from Fall thru the Spring. We live in Oregon and have to clip relatively early because of the high humidity in the air from all the rain. Each year we take our horses to Florida or California to show and have to clip at least once or twice while they are away in the warmer climates. These clippers have been fabulous. A fully charged battery generally lasts through one horse's full body clip. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a great set of clippers. Best of all...they are cordless so we can clip anywhere without having to worry about plugging them in and tripping over the cord.
