"Back in the 90s, I was fitted for a pair of Vogel dress boots while volunteering at the Rolex Kentucky 3 day event. I had given up on ever finding off-the-rack boots that fit and figured the effort and money were worth it in the long run. And what a long run! Thirteen years later these boots started looking a little run down and I was getting some sand in the feet--maybe it was time for a new pair? I re-measured myself and Vogel actually found my order from way back when to compare it to and make sure my custom boots were exactly right. They were delivered right on schedule and will fit great as soon as they're "broke in." I can't wait to spend another 13 years with this pair!"

"I have no problem fitting off the rack boots, but they do not have the same quality as Vogel custom (cheaper softer off the rack materials wont last more than a season). Worth the up-front expense to go custom."

"I have owned two custom-made pairs of Vogel boots, 30 years apart. Both times I needed custom boots because of excessive calf size and short lower leg length. I guess I forgot that the first pair never fit right, because I did it again! To their credit, they did try to fit these boots. I personally took them back to the shop in NY and had them measure and remake them. Twice, I took them to Wellington while their reps were there. They took them away...and sent them back several months later, still not fitting. I asked for the money (over $1000) back, but they refused. I sent pictures of my lower legs and ankles before ordering, I sent a plaster cast of each leg (!) with my order, and after all of that, and 5 attempts to fit, I have NEVER been able to wear these boots! I finally bought some Hispar boots off the rack. They fit."
