Charles Owen Wellington Classic Helmet
The Wellington Classic is a low profile riding hat with a soft leather harness that is cushioned at the back towards the nape of the neck. An integral adjustable drawstring enables adjustment and fit of the harness at the base of the skull. The super soft headband ensures the hat is comfortable against your skin, and the squared peak flatters the face and shades the eyes.&

"When I purchase show gear, I really like the traditional look... I have always liked the way my old unapproved helmet looked. I chose to try this helmet b/c it was the closest to looking the same as the old school velvet hunt caps. But of course you cannot wear those at the shows anymore and they are not safe. So when I got this helmet, I was surprised at how much the profile was not big and bulky. I really wanted a helmet that wouldn't make me look like a mushroom head!! LOL So for a great approved helmet that looks traditional, as well as comfortable, I would totally recommend this helmet!!! 4 stars, AAA++++"

"I love this helmet. It's got the classic look! The ONLY drawback this helmet has is the leather chin strap. It's so soft, that the leather gets warped over time due to weather, sweat, poor care etc. The leather on mine got so destroyed, that when I unsnapped it, the snap ripped right out of the leather. I got a lesson in caring for my tack and equipment a little more."

"The Wellington Classic helmet by Charles Owen is really comfortable and I'm told it looks good. A "helmet week" purchase so a better price than normally. The fit of helmet and harness is so good I don't even feel them. Sure like this for formal occasions better than the C.O. crash helmet with cover used daily."

"This is a very nice helmet. It is, in fact, vented and has some silver ion lining to 'preserve freshness'. I don't know why SmartPak doesn't mention this. It isn't as low profile as I had hoped it would be, but is still very stylish."
