"I started using the Perfect Balance Electrolyte a month before our first endurance ride of the season and I was very impressed with my horse's performance. He drank water at every stop! Giving my horse a daily electrolyte puts my mind at ease, knowing that his electrolytes are not out of balance. I like the fact that there is no sugar/dextrose in this blend and that the magnesium is in a format that is readily absorbed into the gut."

"I had read the glowing review of this product in Horse Journal, and so chose Perfect Balance when it came time to replace my mare's previous electrolyte, Apple-a-Day, when it ran out. Unfortunately, my picky mare isn't too crazy about the taste of Perfect Balance. I was putting just one scoop in a bucket full of beet pulp and other supplements, and at first, she would actually refuse her bucket after just one sniff....eventually she got over it, but there must be something about the smell or taste that she finds unpleasant, because she LOVED Apple-a-Day. I do feel good knowing that it has the appropriate/recommended balance of electrolytes, but for the pretty high price, I might go back to Apple-a-Day (which wasn't reviewed *that* badly and still has no added colors or sugars) after this runs out, since my mare prefers it so much more."

"I am never without this product in the summer which in my area of the country often ranges from April to November. My horses can break a sweat just walking out to their paddocks. Even when we work early in the mornings, they normally develop a fairly heavy lather within the first few minutes of exercise. I put this in their food twice a day regardless of their workload. On the hottest and most humid days, I will often give them a third dose. You cannot beat the price, and they do not seem to be able to detect a flavor even in water. My pickiest eater is a nightmare with supplements, but he never even notices this one."

"I got this supplement for my friesian sport horse who is a heavy sweater. It seems like a great value and I really liked what was in it-but my horse won't touch it! I've tried everything to get him to eat it but he still refuses to try it. I can't say this will be the case with all horses though as I ended up giving the supplements to my mom whose horses eat it right up. I wouldn't recommend this if you have a picky eater though."

"After using another product for years, I tried this after reading the review of electrolytes in the Horse Journal. My horse usually does not have a problem drinking out of just about every body of water we come across, even licking and sucking water out of tiny puddles. But I noticed that he stays better hydrated and drinks better when on this product than before. I tried a third product recently since I got a discount at the store where I work, but I found he did not drink as well on that one, and I was paying for a lot of orange dye and flavoring. Back to Perfect Balance and he was drinking better again. I use this year-round, we train trail/endurance hard year-round, he's hydrated year-round! Easy to top dress, not flavored so no turned-up noses at the smell."

"Can't beat this...Voted top choice in the March 2007 Horse Journal just as it says. Horse Jounal is like Consumer Reports but with Horse products. I live in florida and have had other Electrolite's but I do like this one better. Some say that Electrolite's do not make a horse drink more but I tend to disagree cause using this they did drink more and in the winter months, I need them to do that cause it being chilling they do not drink as much as the summer. So they get this year round."
