"We purchased this bit because we have a large pony that when he starts to canter he forgets how to use his brakes. This bit has worked wonders on that problem. With a tug on the reins, his canter will slow allowing for a more enjoyable ride. I would highly recommend this bit!!"

"We switched my 4 yr old OTTB hunter into this bit about 6 months into training when we began to ask for more advanced skills (jumping, lateral work and flying changes), but after we had mastered the basics of moving away from pressure, half-halts and steering. This bit was the perfect choice for her in this stage of training. She accepted it eagerly, was responsive to it but willing to soften and reach into contact. I was able to adjust her to fences without dramatic head tossing and if she got strong, my half halts meant something. I got the idea for this bit from George Morris himself who loves this bit for horses who have energy that needs to be recycled back to their hind end. He definitely knew what he was talking about because this bit is perfect for my mare!"
