"I purchased these based on a recommendation since I was searching for a soft, quality stirrup leather to avoid marking up my dressage saddle that is made out of calf-skin like material. For the price, I expected to at least get something nicer than my $20 bargain leathers that I was wrapping socks around. They came out of the package rock-hard, warped, rough as sandpaper on the edges, and with scratches/damage to the flat, visible surfaces (looked like an few nail scratches). I’m sure with a few months of leather therapy they would have been decent leathers, but for the money I was looking for leathers I could use right away without damaging my saddle, and without having to waste a bottle of conditioner. Overall, extremely disappointed, returned."

"I ordered two sets of these both with the same issue. It seems that they are defective. Once buckled, the rough, raw side of the leather is exposed while the nice and smooth side with the numbers and logo is rubbing the saddle/horse and hidden. I thought that the first set was just improperly made at the factory and they installed the buckle the wrong way but the 2nd set had the same problem. I wanted to love since they match my Passier dressage perfectly. I bought the nylon lined leather ones instead and couldn't be happier as the leather matches as well and are a bit cheaper."

"These are great leathers. They are stretching, but that's to be expected. Minimal bulk under my leg and very nice quality."

"Extremely well-made with exceptional quality leather and stitching. Have not been using long enough to rate durability, but am not concerned about any potential problems."
