"As a beginning rider, I wanted a girth that had just enough give that I could tighten myself....this one is perfect, and I feel very secure that the saddle is not going to move."

"I didn't buy the girth because of the rings (actually, I don't ever use draw reins or such on my horse, but my mother picked it out!) but I did like the softness of the leather and I liked the appearance of the green elastic. Unfortunately, the stitching is uneven and loose in some places, and the leather wasn't worth what you pay. It did hold up well, but I did have to clean it after every ride or else it would get disgusting. It measured as said, and fit nicely. I just wish it had better quality to begin with."

"I often use draw lines on my horse, and keep a fleece girth with a D-ring in my tack to clip the draw lines to. It was time to replace it (again, an annual purchase) and decided instead, to try a leather girth. Fleece girths tend to slip on my mare when she's shaved and leather doesn't, but I like the convenience of a D-ring to remove draw lines easily during a ride. I was a bit hesitant to buy this girth, because the price is so reasonable for leather that I thought the quality of the leather might not be very good. Instead, it took oil beautifully. The overlay didn't absorb much oil, but the main portion of the girth just soaked it up, making the girth very flexible from the first use. I bought a 48, which is what my mare uses in every other girth, and it fit her just fine. It even has side D-rings for side reins, which is a bonus. I wouldn't use this girth to show because of the side D-rings and the green elastic, but it's great for schooling."
