"I liked the examples of the different injuries ie, tendon, ligament and colic. Also the steps taken to treat the injury. I wish they would have mentioned more on conditioning exercises to bring your horse back from the injury and what to work on step by step and month by month."

"I picked up this book when my horse was first recovering from a pulled suspensory. Not only were the week-by-week suggestions for gradually increasing work extremely helpful, but I found the real-life stories of horses and owners that had been through a potentially career-threatening injury and successfully made it through to the other side to be inspiring. Then last year I had to revisit the book when my horse had to have colic surgery. Again I used the book's recommendations for slowly bringing him back into condition. Now a friend's horse is recovering from colic surgery and I've already recommended this book!"
