"I use this when I need a pain reliever or anti-inflammatory but don't want to use bute. This doesn't seem to bother my horse's stomach and does seem to help make her more comfortable (and less inflamed) when the problem is mild to moderate and needs attention for a week or longer. I was disappointed that SmartPak sent an expired bottle, but it still seemed to do the trick."

"My mare suffers from minor arthritis and a tendency to develop ulcers so I tried Releaf Gold as an herbal alternative to help her during flare-ups. Bute and Devil's Claw both control her pain during flare-ups, but they cause her to develop ulcer symptoms. The ad for Releaf Gold claims it can be used "with even the most delicate digestions", yet on the bottle it warns against use in horses with ulcers. That was worrying to me so I tried it with preventative doses of gastro-guard, just in case. It did not appear to bother her stomach, but it did nothing for her pain. She was only slightly lame when I tried it, and after two weeks she was still equally lame. Other Devil's Claw products have worked before, and much more quickly, but the Releaf Gold did nothing at all. I believe in herbal supplements and medications, but this one is, in my opinion, useless."

"This is a great substitue for Bute. I've used this product for the last 7 years, instead of Bute, and it's a great product to keep on hand."

"Our laminitic horse's feet were overtrimmed by our farrier causing him to have very sore feet. Releaf Gold helped tremendously with the pain."
