I bought this due to its simplicity for all around coverage from: fleas, ticks, heartworms, and other parasites. It has worked great and makes protection one step and a lot easier.

Advantage multi is a good product for a topical treatment. I prefer the oral preventatives because they are much easy to administer. However, they were not available at the time I needed to order.

The product is amazing, both the price and the quality of the product. However, due to difficulty with creating a 2nd dog name, I received two of the same size verses the different sizes requested.

i love this product because it eliminates having to buy advantage and the heart-guard meds seperate, plus it's super easy to apply. i can tell the difference in my boston terrier as he never has itching fits like other dogs around our barn. I always worried about the hassles of internet prescription verification but smartpak makes it very simple contacting my vet for me. in addition shipping saves me time and money. great product!

Advantage Multi just makes sense because it costs slightly more than flea control drops or heartworm pills, yet it controls fleas, heartworms and intestinal parasites.

My senior toy poodle has several health issues, so I am very cautious about trying new products. My vet, however, recommended Advantage Multi for him, and it has worked very well. His sensitive stomach could not tolerate oral heartworm and flea meds on top of his other meds, so the topical is a better choice. WARNING: When using Advantage Mulit or any other topical flea or heartworm treatment, you have to be VERY careful to use only shampoos whose labels state that they will not remove topical medications. Use a regular dog shampoo or one that contains soap or other detergents, and the fleas will come back (ours did), and I guess the heartworms could as well! Luckily, there are several options for those topical-safe shampoos, so it's not a problem if you just read the labels carefully. If you mess up, call the vet, and you may have to use another dose of the Advantage Multi without waiting for the month to be up.
