"My cousin showed in these a few of years ago and when she out grew them, they became mine. They've been around for 3 years and show almost no sign of wear. It's perfect for both summer and winter riding. Even though I bought many other brands since then I keep coming back to this one."

"I bought these the first time and they ran large. I ordered down a size and they were better. I still wanted to snug them up a bit, so I washed and dried them on low heat in the dryer. Perfect.I am a size 14, and I ended up with a 34, but probably could have even worn a 32 if I wanted them tighter. They are a great bargain for the money, good quality too. I would highly recommend these to anyone."
"For the price I would definitely buy these again- a good value for everyday wear."

"For the price, it's a reasonable buy. They're pretty comfortable, but I would definitely buy at least a size down. They're baggy around my hips and my ankles, baggier than I'd like but the overall fit's fine. Lately I've only been riding once a week so only time will tell how they'll wear out, but for how cheap they are it's worth it."

"Everyone says the fit is small here-- It's not. I ordered a 26 and needed my typical 24. I'd say they run about average on length- its a little long for me, but I'm only 5'2'' so I will just have to have them altered like most of my gear. They are comfortable to ride in, and have thus far held up without any issues on durability or workmanship. Reliable daily work breech!"

"These are classic getting what you pay for--for the price, they are very acceptable, and get the job done when my preferred schoolers are in the wash. The fit is a little off for my curvy body, but that is not super uncommon! The drawstring waist is helpful, but a belt is still necessary to not be pulling them up all the time. I like the longer rise, since I am longer waisted, but the legs are also very long. The hidden inside waist pocket is useless except maybe for a check for your trainer, but they don't want to see what looks like you digging in your pants for it!
The value for the price is acceptable, but since I bought these early last summer (I think... maybe longer? I will say they are still in very good shape despite semi-regular use) I have decided it is worth spending a little more for everyday breeches that fit better and are more flattering."
"I have bought these same breeches for the past 7 years, but from another source. They have always been very good quality for the money. But, this time, the fabric was totally different, very thin, and the sizing - and I have ALWAYS worn a 32 - was HUGE. I sent them back and will not order this brand again. They have obviously changed their entire way of making breeches."

"My first impression is that these are very comfortable! I haven't had a chance to wear them much yet, but so far I really like them. They're definitely a good weight and don't feel too heavy or too thin. Fits pretty well. I disagree with some of the other comments that they are too tight/restricting. If anything, I may order down a size next time. Mine are a little short, but not worth returning over (I'm 5'8" but the longs weren't available). Only thing I'd complain about so far is that there were several long threads hanging off the knee patches when I opened up the package. I trimmed them off, but hoping that I don't have any quality complaints down the road."

"I'm writing this review more because of the excellent customer service I received than because of how I feel about the pants. After receiving the pants (within just a couple of days of my order), I tried them on and realized the were way too big. (So, note, they run really big!!) When I contacted SmartPak about the situation, I received a free return label within a few hours, and received my smaller size within just a few days.
The pants however...even though I went down 2 sizes from my original order, they are still baggy in the wrong spots. They are very comfortable, but the material gets dirty easy, and really attracts fly away horse hair. They are black, so of course they will show dirt, but these LOOK so dirty after just tacking up. Even though they are comfortable, I would not order this particular style again."

"I was really happy with the price and how fast the breeches arrived. This is my second pair of On Course and they are my favorites. The blend is nice and light while having the feeling you're still wearing breeches and not tights. The color is nice and didn't bleed in the wash. I usually take a 32L but these were longer than 32R's usually are on my legs which was nice because 32L wasn't available. If I could change anything it would be that the bottoms are either smaller with better elastic or adjustable Velcro. The foot holes were a bit loose. Overall I really like this product and would definitely get another pair!"

"I tried these as my first pair of On Course breeches. I was pretty impressed for the first two weeks of daily wear, but unfortunately, that didn't last. They tore holes in the knees and seat with only three hand washings and two weeks of daily rides. They pilled very easily, and almost feel too tight and constricting — even after going up first 1, then 2 sizes up from my other breeches. I'm a bit of a breeches snob, but these aren't for me. They'd be better suited to someone who would wear them less frequently, and didn't do their barn chores in them. They do flatter many figures though. I wouldn't show in these, and you won't catch me on course wearing these breeches."
"Nice for the price but fit VERY SMALL. I am going to have to go up at least 1 maybe 2 sizes from tailored Sportsmans."

"I was disappointed to read the tag in the waistband of the COTTON Natural breeches which said "62% polyester". I have older pairs of these breeches which are in fact cotton. Apparently they changed the fabric content, but did not change the name? I ordered them because I like "cotton" in the summer. I sent them back because I do not like polyester. Otherwise, they fit well, and are a nice inexpensive breech. I just wish they truly were cotton."

"but I wasn't impressed. They fit excellently, but these breeches wore so fast they tore holes in the knees and thighs. The quality, however, was good enough for schooling and local shows, and they're great for the price. I won't be wearing these much longer, they just wear too fast."
