"I bought these to have an extra pair of half chaps in our 2nd barn and I've worn them a few times. I like them much better than I thought- they are easy to put on, easy to clean, and when I'm riding I don't notice a difference from my expensive pair. I'm not sure how durable they will be - but I've been impressed so far."

"Although I have only ridden in them a few times so far, I do think they are a great half chap for the price! I have not had any issues (readers mention zippers breaking but mine have easily zipped each time and seem very durable) and they look great!
I got them on sale which was an AMAZING price for the product - very happy.
My only issue is I am 5"8 and purchased a size medium - they fit fine around my leg (a good snug fit and I would describe myself as athletic-thin), but they are a wee bit tall. In fact after my last ride I had brusies behind my knee from them coming up too far. I think once I wear them a few more times and they inch down my leg a bit they will be fine - but you have been warned! :)"

"I got a pair of these half chaps and was thrilled about the price! My first ride in them, the zipper split and I had to shimmy them off to fix the zipper. My second ride in them, I went to unzip them and the zipper completely broke. No worries. Smart pak sent me a new pair.first ride in the new pair the zipper broke again. For the price, they are awesome. But if you want something to ride in.... I'd spend the extra money and get a decent pair"

"The zippers on these half chaps aren't the sturdiest things in the world, but for the money these are quote nice! I like the fit and finish of them and I have recommended them to people.
I don't know if they would hold up to more professional level use -- I only ride one horse a day 4 or 5 times a week -- but they work well for me.
The zippers did split on me once, but I was able to get the zip down and then upon re-zipping they seem to still be working well. Not as high quality as more expensive half chaps, but not bad for the price.
Great to keep as a spare, or in your show trunk if you want a pair that's nice and clean for schooling at shows."

"i got this product to use for everyday riding. i have used them 3 times now since i got them via mail and they are already worn down and discoloring.. i would not recomend these to anyone that is riding daily. maybe more for somone who rides a couple days a week."

"It's difficult to find leather half chaps without spending an arm and a leg, and I am happy overall with the quality of the leather on these. I've been using them for about 1.5 years and the leather has held up great! However, the zipper broke after a couple of months and I did end up getting the zipper replaced. I think these half-chaps are a great value, and I am pleased with this purchase."

"I love leather 1/2 chaps, but normally I have a hard time finding ones that fit since my calf width is 14 and my calf height is 15. My search is over, thanks to Dublin for making these 1/2 chaps & thx to SmartPak for carrying them!! They fit me perfectly and are very comfy. Obviously, they're tight when new (as normal), but it's not too tight, just snug!! I'm glad I found these 1/2 chaps, they rock."

"I expected these chaps to be configured like other half-chaps with the zipper up the side for easy reach. Unfortunately they zip up the back and I found I was unable to twist into a pretzel in order to zip them up. The leather seemed nice but they weren't going to work for me so I returned them."
