I purchased these boots for my 4-year-old daughter and selected the laces because the zippered ones were out of stock. The top lace eyelet (not the hole but the little lacing bracket) on one of the boots came off after the second or third wearing.They are still wearable and my daughter says they are comfortable!

They are comfortable, they fit me well, I really, really like them. They are comfortable while I ride. Most boots squeeze me, but these do not. They do not come untied. My last boots had zippers and they were hard to zip. My socks don't get wet and the water does not come through.
Note from mom: My son is growing just too fast for expensive boots. He is also very hard on boots. I like the look, the ease of clean up, the fact I don't have wet, muddy socks in the laundry and the price. ( :

I buy these for my daughter, who will be 9 this month. I got her first pair when she was 3. They are generally durable, but one pair did start coming apart after she'd had it a while. I glued it and it stayed together until she grew out of it. The sizes do run small (as one other reviewer noted). She currently is a size 3 (I measured her feet today), and the size 3s she has now are uncomfortable for her to wear. She currently has the zip ups but chose the lace ups this time.

The Boots run small!!! I had to buy the boots 2 sizes bigger than my child's feet measured. Otherwise these are great boots and SmartPak is quick at exchanging them for the correct size.
The boots are made well and my child is happy wearing them.

The books were a gift for my grandaughter and were perfect for what she needed.
Child size boots are hard to find in a store and these were well made and a good price. I will buy more from this site.

My daughter would not wear these boots because they are made from very stiff material. It would take an entire show season to even begin to break them in.
