"The best thing I can say is the handle fits well, and it does have a nice metal cap on the end.
There is very little hair for swatting on this whisk, though it's plenty long so you can go from front to back easily.
I'm not impressed with the overall quality of this whisk, and not sure that it will last. Not happy with it, would not recommend."

"I got this to replace someone else's fly whisk that broke. The amount of horse hair on this is embarrassing. It is too skimpy."

"I'm not a 'dressage queen' a plain bamboo whisk such as I have had forever - would have been perfect............BUT I needed a fly whisk ---if they break I shan't be unhappy."

"I purchased this for a friend who's got a horse who can't stand the bugs while out riding. I have one & LOVE it & thought she would appreciate having something to help keep the flies off her sensitive Irish Sport Horse. They are quite useful to have in SE Texas where the bugs are pretty bad 9 months out of the year!"

"This whisk works well to keep flys away. Very nice looking but a little stingy with the horse hair. Seems to be well made but I think a little over-priced."

Not thick enough

"I was a bit disappointed with the whisk. There didn't seem to be enough hair, and the hair was too long. When I tried to whisk flies from the horse's face, the whisk just flopped down. When I tried to sweep across the horse's face, strands were getting entangled in his bridle, in his face, or on nearby bushes. A longer handle, shorter and thicker hair would have made this more desirable."

"this fly whisk has minimal horse hair for the whisk, about half of other whisks I have. The handle is too narrow as well. I sent it back."

"I love this whisk. Yes, the bamboo handle whisks are cheaper. BUT this whisk is a thin as a crop handle with a cap on top and perfect wrist band. All great for drop prevention. I now own two. One to use at home and I keep one in the trailer for trail riding."

"Not too bulky like some I have used have been. Effective against the horse fly that lands square in the middle of your horse's rump. Good buy for the money."

"I think the length is perfect. You're not slouching to reach is face, or leaning way back either. Your balance is not hindered. Not heavy or cumbersome. Fells natural in your hand."
