One of my horses has colic issues and trouble holding and gaining weight. As a 20-year-old equine senior, I expected that the age may be part of it. After consulting with (yet another) vet, I put him on the SmartDigest thinking it may help. Within 10 days, he was a much more happy and hungry horse. He started gaining weight, and his entire demeanor changed for the better- perky, happy, attentive, and loving. He now has gained around 40-50 pounds and eats with a gusto. He also hasn't colicked in months now- what a relief for him, my pocketbook, and me.

The smart digest has cleared up a some mild chronic digestive upset with my pony and some SEVERE digestive upset with an old mare. Both are happy to eat it and the single packs are working great from shipping, receiving, storeing. I do with that my auto ship feature would give me a better discount on shipping though....

I have an old horse with Cushings disease, anhidrosis, and compromised dentition, which necessitates a diet of short grass and Senior mash. On top of all that (or, possibly, because of it) she developed loose stools. Before SmartDigest, I tried (separately) ProBios and yogurt, neither of which worked as well or as quickly as SmartDigest. Great product.

I purchased my (then) 6 year old Paint mare a little over a year ago. From the time I brought her home, we noticed that she had loose stool, almost cow pie-like. At first we just ignored it - it didn't seem to bother her, it wasn't getting all over her, and honestly I didn't know what to do about it.
I found out that SmartPak made a digestive aid that was supposed to specifically help this problem, so I thought I would give it a try. I'm on my second bucket now, and my mare is doing great! She loves the taste, and it smells good, too! Best of all, those cow pies are almost non-existent, and her stool is much firmer than it ever was. Great product, SmarkPak =)

My Arab mare is now 16. I dont know if it was age, breed, or the change in climate, but she was showing more and more signs of gas colic. Her belly would swell up and she wouldn't eat. Sometimes she went down, sometimes she just looked miserable. My vet recommended a probiotic. Being a fan of Smart Pack I took advantage of the free shipping and ordered this. The results were noticeable within a weeks time. She is still a bit gassy, but at least it is coming out rather than staying in and making her uncomfortable. ~My discipline is not available below. I got this for my 31 year old mare who had an issue a couple of months ago with loose stools which is very unusual for her. My vet wasn't sure if it was an encysted strongal problem or mild colic so he treated her for both. He had me use a yeast powder for digestion and a power pack dewormer. This cleared everything up in a matter of days. I have since used the SmartDigest product just to be safe and she loves the pellets and eats everything right up. She is incredibly healthy and trots or canters out to pasture every day.

We have a thirty year old gelding who has been on an IR based suppliment for a long time and doing great, so when he got diarrea I looked into your digestion products to find smart digest and it has done great reducing the diarrea. For a 30 yrs old horse he looks and acts like he's 20. Thank you for the many suppliments to help keep our horses on the right track.

My gelding has had digestive issues for, well, as long as I've owned him. It has never been a big concern per the vet or the stable owner but I was always a little worried about his stool being a little runny. I would always be washing his tail and hocks so that he didn't get any kind of skin irritation. He's been on Smart Digest for 3 months now and no more dirty tail and hocks other than from the mud! I am so glad I went with my gut to help his gut!

Tried this product on a horse that we've struggled with dietary issues for several years with no noticeable change. It didn't help any more than anything else we've tried. But that's not to say it can't help your horse! The vets couldn't find anything wrong with our horse after extensive testing; he holds good weight, eats well, he's happy and looks great; just has runny manure no matter what he eats or what supplement we've tried.

Last March we noticed that The Specialist had lost significant weight and the vet at the time felt she would not make it through another winter. We changed her feed, added a fat supplement and the Pro-digest and this 27 yo TB mare has gained the weight back and is beating the 18 yo and 16 yo fellow retirees to the hay pile. Love this product and better yet, she loves it and is now diving into her feed.

My horse was on 30+ days of antibiotics for lyme disease. I put him on this one week before starting the antibiotics, and only had 2 days of "cowpies". He has been happy for the remainder of his 30 day treatment.

My mare has had issues with impaction colic due to weather conditions going from warm to freezing. She has been on this and in the short time I have started her I have noticed a big difference already. The manure has a soft texture, it doesn't look hard like what it normally did. She has been more perky which is wonderful :)
And her water intake has been really good, also noticed her salt intake has increased since starting with this supplement. So far so good. I'm excited to see her progress.

I started my mare on this supplement about two months ago. When the hay changed at the barn, she would have loose manure and be quite gassy. She also had some issues with being girthy, but was scoped for ulcers and didn't have them. Since starting this new supplement, her manure has been much firmer and all her gassiness and girthy-ness is gone completely. We got a new load of very rich hay last week, and it hasn't bothered her one bit. She will be on SmartDigest for life!
