"I purchased this supplement because the heat and humidity seemed to be affecting the horses, and they use salt blocks as toys - destroying them.
I've got 5 on it ranging from 1 to 24 years old. No issues at all with them eating it (nobody picky on this farm), and I've noticed the water going down much faster then it was before."

"I started my 4 year old on Smartlytes about a month ago. She is pasture boarded and I live in some HOT weather so I wanted to give her some electrolytes just to keep her more balanced. I tried her on SmartLytes first after reviewing many other electrolytes' ingredients and prices. She doesn't work as hard as a competition horse so I can't say much about that, but I have noticed that she has been coming in with much less sweat on her (even though it's been hotter than before she was on the supplement) and she has more spunk as well. My mare can be picky too, but she eats this no problem. I would recommend this product to others. I don't know however, how well this product works if I worked my horse a lot more since mine is so young. As of now I really like it and have no reason to change though :)"

"My horse can be picky with supplements. I used other brands before, but he wouldn't finish all his food. He gobbles the Smartlytes right up, and licks his plate clean! The heat index here has been pushing 110 with sauna-like humidity. My horse has been drinking plenty of water, sweating nicely, and recovering quickly from rides (in the morning to avoid the extreme temps). This is a great product!!!"

"I just moved my horse from South Carolina to the desert of California and we were noticing that he was drinking a lot of water, but still seemed a little on the dehydrated side. "I chose the SmartLytes for my horses because I felt it had the most complete ingredients on the market. My horses Flat out refused to eat when I mixed in even a small amount of the smartlytes into their feed. I tried over several weeks to get them to eat it but they always refused. My friend tried them on her "garbage can" the horse who eats anything with the same result for him."

"I was a bit hesitant to purchase this, as it is a powder rather than a pellet. I'd never fed a power before, and I wasn't sure how she'd feel about eating it. I shouldn't have worried, as she licks her food bowl clean every day. I got this supplement as she is not a heavy drinker in her stall, and now that the weather is warmer, I worry about her not getting enough to drink. Since I've started the SmartLytes, she has doubled her water intake. I couldn't be happier with the results, and for such a great price!"
